Locum Laboratory Technologists

Overall purpose of the job:

  • Working under the supervision of the Laboratory in-charge, the successful candidates will perform diagnostic laboratory tests and scientific investigations to support accurate medical diagnoses.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collect, register, and analyze patient specimens within approved testing protocols.
  • Timely and clear reporting of test findings to clinical staff and patients.
  • Maintain strict quality control by using proper reagents, calibrating equipment, and keeping workspace hygienic.
  • Prepare routine diagnostic and operational laboratory reports.
  • Engage actively in internal Quality Assurance (QA) routines and update quality logs accurately.

Position requirements:

  • Education: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science.
  • Licensing: Valid registration certificate from the KMLTTB (Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Competencies: Proficient computer skills, strong customer care capabilities, self-motivated, collaborative, and professional inter-personal demeanor.

 

Locum Health Centre Receptionists

Overall purpose of the job

  • Working under the supervision of the Health Centre Manager, the selected candidates will handle day-today administrative duties and oversee front office operations to ensure smooth clinic workflow.

Key responsibilities:

  • Register incoming patients and verify their insurance or medical coverage details.
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
  • Process patient billing and handle payment collections.
  • Compile and submit regular administrative reports.
  • Track petty cash usage and initiate supply requisitions.
  • Ensure the reception area remains welcoming, tidy, and professional.

Position requirements:

  • Education: Diploma in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a reception, front desk, or customer-facing administrative role.
  • Competencies: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, clear communication abilities, selfdrive, a warm demeanour, and a collaborative mindset.
