 Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –

• Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID)
• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography/Medical Imaging Sciences from a recognized Institution.
• Valid practicing license from Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority (KNRA)
• Member of the Society of Radiography of Kenya (SORK)

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

• Undertaking preventive maintenance and repairs of medical/hospital equipment, plants, furniture, and instruments;
• Carrying out minor repairs of health facilities and utilities;
• Ordering for spare parts and consumables;
• Taking/maintaining inventory of medical/hospital equipment, furniture, and plants;
• Collating and compiling information for research;
• Collating and compiling information on medical engineering services for input into the health information management system;
• Implementing medical engineering programs and projects.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID)
• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• Diploma in Medical Engineering from a recognized institution;
• Must be registered with the Association of Medical Engineers of Kenya.
• Two years and above experience working in a busy hospital (Attach evidence)

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include;

• Implementing medical engineering programs and projects;
• Undertaking preventive maintenance and repairs of medical/hospital equipment, plants, furniture, and instruments;
• Providing user support;
• Providing specifications for spare parts and consumables;
• Maintaining inventory of medical/hospital equipment; furniture and plants;
• Processing information for research;
• Updating and maintaining information on medical engineering services for input into the Integrated Health Information Management System.

• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Must be registered with the Association of Medical Engineers of Kenya.
• Two years and above experience working in a busy hospital (Attach evidence)

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include;

• Provide pharmaceutical services in a hospital,
• Taking charge of pharmaceutical services in a hospital in the absence of a pharmacist or as a line assistant to the pharmacist.
• Compounding and dispensing medicine.

Requirements for Appointment

• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• Diploma course in Pharmacy
• Registered by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board
• Valid Practicing License from Pharmacy and Poisons Board
• Two years and above experience working in a busy hospital (Attach evidence)

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include;

• Collecting and receiving bodies within the hospital and outside through the prescribed procedures.
• Recording bodies received.
• Washing the bodies, embalming, and refrigeration.
• Scrubbing and assisting in post mortems.
• Counselling the relatives.
• Releasing the bodies to the relatives as per the laid procedures.

Requirements for Appointment

For Appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID)
• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in a busy mortuary or a reputable Funeral Home (Attach evidence).
• Certificate in Mortuary Science from a recognized institution
• Training in embalming and grief counselling will be an added advantage

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level entails:

• Interpreting radiological images of orthopedic and trauma cases; coaching;
• Carrying out minor Orthopedic Operative techniques involving insertion and removal of Steinman’s pins and skull calipers;
• Removing external fixators;
• Manipulating and reducing fractures and dislocations;
• Fixing and removing casts, bandages, and tractions to and from patients;
• Correcting Congenital Orthopedic Talipes Equino-Varus( C.T.E.V.):
• Participating in the management of minor orthopedic trauma cases in emergencies and accidents:
• Sensitizing and creating awareness of orthopedic trauma conditions in communities and counseling patients/ clients with orthopedic trauma needs.

Requirements for Appointments

For Appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• Certificate in either Orthopedic Plaster and Traction Technology or Orthopedic Plaster Technology from a recognized institution;
• Be registered with the Kenya Society of Orthopedics Trauma Technologist/Technician
• Two years and above experience working in a busy hospital (Attach evidence)

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include;

• Taking history, examining, diagnosing, and treating patients’ common ailments at an outpatient or inpatient health facility;
• Guiding and counseling patients, clients, and staff on health issues;
• Referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities;
• Assessing, preparing, and presenting medical legal reports;
• Organizing health management teams and convening health management committee meetings;
• Implementing community healthcare activities with other health workers;
• Sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promotive health;
• Providing clinical outreach and school health and services;
• Carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and skill;
• Collecting data and compiling clinical data.

Requirements for appointments

• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution
• Higher National Diploma in Anesthesia from a recognized institution
• Certificate of Registration from the Clinical Officers Council;
• Valid Practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council;

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

• Assessing, planning, implementing nursing interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes;
• Diagnosing common health conditions;
• Providing appropriate healthcare service including, coordinating with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals during procedures;
• Providing health education and counselling to patients/clients and community on identified health needs;
• Referring patients and clients appropriately;
• Facilitating patients’ admission and initiating discharge plans;
• Maintaining records on patients/clients’ health condition and care;
• Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment;
• Collecting and collating data for research;
• Evaluating healthcare outcomes on patients/clients and preparing individualized reports;
• Identifying occupational health needs and making appropriate recommendations.

Requirements
For Appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing; Kenya Registered Nursing;
• Higher National Diploma in Peri-Operative Nursing from a recognized institution;
• Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya;
• Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include;

• Diagnosing, caring and treating diseases;
• Performing medical and surgical procedures; preparing and responding to emergencies and disasters;
• Participating in the management of medicines, medical instruments, and equipment;
• Providing health education;
• Maintain medical records, health information, and data;
• Counselling patients and their relatives on diagnoses and bereavement;
• Teaching and coaching medical students, nursing students, and clinical officer interns;
• Preparing requisite documents for registration.

Requirements for Appointment

For Appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID)
• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree from aninstitution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
• Successfully completed one (1) year Internship from a recognized  institution (Attach evidence);
• Registration license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board; and
• Practicing license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board

Duties and Responsibilities

The Officer will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities: –

• Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of streets
• Collecting and loading of refuse into garbage trucks
• Manning of gates in the designated dumpsites
• Cleaning of drains and clearing bushes
• Cleaning and maintenance of sanitary facilities
• Cleaning and maintenance of working tools and equipment
• Performing any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor

For Appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID)
• KCPE and KCSE Certificate with a mean grade of D plain.
• A medical certificate from a duly registered and licensed Medical Doctor from a Government Hospital.

Duties and Responsibilities: –

Reporting to the County Director for Education and Training, the Officer will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities: –

• Overseeing, coordinating, promoting, and implementing departmental Programs, projects, policies, and general education and technical training programs in the sub-county;
• Assisting in the preparation and implementation of the departmental strategic plan, Annual work plans, and periodical reports in the subcounty
• Providing technical and coordination support to the stakeholders and partners in mainstreaming Education and Training in the Sub-County
• Promoting awareness on Child Care, Early Childhood, and Home Craft Centers respectively as well as on Technical and Vocational Education and Training needs and demands to local communities and parents;
• Conducting capacity-building courses for government employees and other stakeholders within the institutions;
• Developing and facilitating the provision of appropriate resource materials to the Child Care, ECDE, and Home Craft Centers respectively as well as in Technical and Vocational Training Centers in the SubCounty.
• Compiling reports and disseminating for technical review;
• Facilitating processes to identify issues, challenges, and innovative responses;
• Organizing and sharing compiled feedback reports for improvement in project quality and partner support;
• Acting as a link to the Central Government, local agencies, and communities on Education and training policies, interpretation, and implementation;
• Developing sub-county resource centers for education and training programs;
• Prompt submission of monthly performance reports in the following areas;
  • Staff returns
  • Enrolment levels
  • Financial and Expenditure Reports
  • Minutes of all sub-county Head of Department meetings
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by the Director

Requirements for appointment;

For Appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID)
• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a university recognized in Kenya;
• A master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage
• Minimum of ten (10) years experience working in education, three (3) years must be in an administrative position as a head of institution or a deputy head of institution.
• Possesses excellent communication and facilitation skills;
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience;

Duties and Responsibilities

• Duties will include designing, preparation of drawings, and supervision of construction of civil and structural works for simple projects.

Requirements for appointments

For Appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID)
• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution; and
• Be registered by the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya (ERB) as a Graduate Engineer.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include;

• Design of mechanical services in government buildings and construction works
• Repair and maintenance of mechanical installations in government facilities.

Requirements for appointment

For Appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID)
• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• Be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Be registered by the Engineers Board of Kenya as a Graduate Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include;

• Interpretation of architectural and engineering drawings,
• Checking minor repairs and alterations of existing buildings.

Requirements for appointments

For Appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID)
• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• A diploma in any of the following fields; Building and Civil Engineering/Construction Technician Part III from a recognized institution

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include;

• Supervision and control of all road works within the officer’s area of jurisdiction
• Assisting in the selection and location of suitable materials for road works
• Preparation of work programmes in liaison with the road engineer.

Requirements for appointment

For Appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID)
• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• A Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

Duties and responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include;

• Inspection, repair, and maintenance of fire installations in public buildings, hospitals, and institutions.

Requirement for appointment

For Appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID)
• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution,
• First Aid Certificate course lasting not more than (1) week from St. Johns Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution

Duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include;

• Inspection and maintenance of electrical installations in public buildings and government quarters
• Testing and maintenance of electrical controls related to fire detection equipment, cookers, water heaters, and general domestic appliances
• Inspection and maintenance of electrical controls in power-generating plants and machinery.

Requirements for appointments

For Appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID)
• KCPE and KCSE Certificate
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technician Certificate Part II from a recognized institution.
