Job Description

Bristol Park Hospital has been in operation since 2008 and has continued to serve residents of Embakasi and the rest of Nairobi with excellence in healthcare delivery. Laboratory Quality Control Officer

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain laboratory quality assurance programs.
  • Establish and maintain quality control (QC) procedures to ensure the accuracy of test results
  • Monitor laboratory activities to ensure compliance with established quality standards and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international regulatory bodies
  • Prepare and coordinate laboratory accreditation and certification processes.
  • Maintain documentation for audits and inspections, ensuring readiness for regulatory reviews.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to assess laboratory compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Analyze laboratory performance data and report findings to management.
  • Develop, review, and update laboratory SOPs to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure laboratory staff adhere to SOPs and provide training when updates occur.
  • Develop and conduct quality assurance training programs for laboratory personnel.
  • Evaluate staff competency in performing laboratory tests and maintaining quality standards.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness within the laboratory.
  • Investigate laboratory errors, incidents, and deviations, ensuring appropriate documentation and resolution.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements to reduce quality-related risks.
  • Implement and monitor proficiency testing programs.
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Monitor reagent and supply quality to prevent contamination or expired materials from affecting test results.
  • Support the laboratory to attain ISO 15189:2012 Accreditation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory, with a focus on quality assurance.
  • Registration Certificate and valid practicing license issued by KMLTTB.
  • Knowledge of laboratory regulations, accreditation standards, and quality management systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in Healthcare management information systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must Be trained on ISO 15189:2012
  • Experience working in an ISO 15189:2012 accredited Laboratory.
  • Certificate in computer application

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science and Technology or its equivalent
  • Certification in Quality Assurance, Laboratory Management, or related field preferred.

 

Pharmacist- Machakos

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, dispense, and review prescriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure the availability of essential medicines.
  • Maintain records of all medications dispensed and controlled substances.
  • Provide guidance on the safe use of medications to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Assess patient history to prevent adverse drug interactions.
  • Educate patients on dosage, side effects, and potential interactions of prescribed medications.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulations, and national healthcare guidelines.
  • Participate in drug safety programs and report adverse drug reactions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new drugs and treatment protocols.
  • Work alongside clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment plans.
  • Conduct training sessions for hospital staff on medication safety and best practices.
  • Participate in hospital-wide quality improvement programs.

Qualifications

  • Valid pharmacy license and registration with the relevant regulatory authority.
  • Proven experience as a pharmacist in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BPharm, or equivalent).

 

Customer Service Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating pre-authorization patient process of admissions, surgical, and discharges are conducted effectively.
  • Providing exemplary customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Handling comprehensively all inquiries and directing accordingly from within and externally in a timely way.
  • Booking and following up on specialized clinics for patients with appointments with specialists at the hospital.
  • Assisting in the patient discharge process and ensuring is timely and effective.
  • Receiving patients, ascertaining the nature of the visit, and directing visitors to appropriate services needed.
  • Assisting in running patient bills after service delivery.
  • Managing the patient queue at the reception to avoid overcrowding.
  • Answering queries from patients, pertaining to billed drugs among others.
  • Preparing insurance claims daily, weekly and monthly reports to the Head of department customer care.
  • Generating invoices for insurance claims for payment and following up on insurance claims submitted previously for payment approvals.
  • Answering telephone and electronic inquiries and relaying telephone calls and messages

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Education

  • Diploma in Business Administration or Public Relations, Communication, Customer Service from a recognized institution.

 

Marketing Officer

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in improving the visibility and brand image of the company
  • Assisting in the administration of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) work
  • Ensuring all branches have all the required marketing materials
  • Organizing medical camps and performing outreach programs
  • Responsible in creating content for the campaigns
  • Responsible for conducting market intelligence
  • Carrying out internal feedback from all clients
  • Offering customer service trainings to the in-house team
  • Contributing to internal and external meetings from a marketing perspective
  • Carrying out all social media activities for the organization
  • Maintaining awareness of competitor activity and general healthcare updates
  • Ensuring effective, branded marketing communications including the company website, social media, print communication, and advertising

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a busy marketing environment
  • Ability to prioritize and work on own initiative to ensure key objectives are met
  • Knowledge in graphic designing will be an added advantage

Education

  • Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing or a business-related course from a recognized institution.

 

Community Oral Health Officer

Responsibilities

  • Performing authorized dental procedures including cleaning teeth, removing plagues, replacing missing teeth, filling cavities, rebuilding of broken teeth and removing severely damaged teeth in a safe and sterile environment while providing quality dental experience during the procedure.
  • Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and tray setups for dental procedures.
  • Conducting dental health education to patients.
  • Offering counselling to patients who require reassurance.
  • Managing inventory of the equipment and supplies at the dental unit, including preparing orders as needed to avoid stock outs.
  • Implementing and adhering to infection prevention protocols including autoclaving instruments after use, cleaning the dental procedure’s space and storage of the clean instruments.
  • Analysing x-rays and evaluating dental needs as necessary including medical history review and dental charting.
  • Treating and helping to prevent gum disease.
  • Providing instruction on dental care and writing prescriptions for patients.
  • Recording keeping and Inventory.
  • Maintaining dental files for all patients.
  • Writing weekly /monthly reports.

Qualifications

  • Valid Practicing License
  • Registered by Oral Health Association of Kenya
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience as a COHO
  • Excellent computer skills

Education

  • Diploma in Community Health
