• Develop and maintain responsive web applications.
• Collaborate with designers and backend developers to implement UI/UX designs.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Ensure accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
• Debug and troubleshoot frontend issues on the SCA Summit Website.
• Manage Frontend related support on SCA Summit website.

• Identify, document, and track bugs and inconsistencies
• Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications
• Work closely with developers to ensure timely issue resolution
• Provide feedback on UX/UI improvements from a testing perspective
• Opportunity to be a facilitator for She Code Africa programs (optional but encouraged)

• The Communications Volunteer will support the planning and execution of communication activities for the She Code Africa Summit 2026. • Assist with creating blog content across She Code Africa’s communication channels
• Assist with email communication and newsletter preparation
• Support media and partner communication where assigned
• Help track campaign activities and maintain communication calendars

• Carry out any other communication-related tasks assigned by the MMC team

• The Content Copywriter will develop compelling written content that supports the She Code Africa 10th Anniversary Campaign and Summit 2026. This includes creating engaging copy that drives awareness, registrations, and community engagement across digital and traditional channels.

• Write engaging social media captions
• Develop website copy for summit pages
• Draft email campaigns and newsletters
• Write blog articles
• Support the development of press releases and media materials
• Produce speaker, partner, sponsor, and volunteer announcement copy
• Write ticket campaign messaging and promotional copy
• Support campaign storytelling across different content formats
• Ensure all content aligns with the She Code Africa brand voice and messaging

Role Summary

• The Content Creator will develop engaging visual and short-form content that captures the excitement of the She Code Africa 10th Anniversary Campaign and Summit 2026. The volunteer will support content production before, during, and after the summit across digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality photos and videos during campaign activities and the summit
• Create short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube Shorts
• Develop behind-the-scenes content and event highlights
• Support live content creation during summit activities
• Create engaging reels and social-first videos
• Work closely with the design and communications teams to execute content ideas
• Organise and submit captured content for post-production
• Support user-generated content initiatives and attendee interviews
• Assist with Vox Pops and testimonial recordings during the summit

Requirements

• Experience creating content for social media platforms
• Good understanding of mobile photography and videography
• Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, etc.) are an advantage
• Creative storytelling skills
• Ability to work under pressure during live events
• Passion for digital content creation and community engagement

Role Summary

• The Community Moderator will be responsible for driving community engagement before and during the summit by managing the digital community space on Slack. This role involves creating excitement around the summit, moderating discussions, responding to attendee questions, sharing important updates, and fostering meaningful interactions among participants. The ideal volunteer should be proactive, personable, and skilled at creating a welcoming and engaging community experience.
