Senior Lecturer- Medical Surgical Nursing

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Earned PhD in Nursing from an accredited University. Masters in Medical and Surgical Nursing in addition to BSc Nursing from an accredited university.
  • A minimum of five (5) years post-PhD experience in teaching at university level or in research/industry.
  • Evidence of engagement in continuing research.
  • Valid Practising License from the Nursing Council of Kenya
  • Evidence of having supervised at least three (3) postgraduate students to completion since last promotion.
  • Possess a minimum of thirty two (32) publication, twenty four (24) of which must be from refreed journals points as a Senior Lecturer, with at least 32 referred scholarly journals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Skills Lab Management experience
  • Strong commitment to mentoring students and faculty in research methodologies

Senior Lecturer- Midwifery

  • Earned Phd in Nursing from an accredited University. Masters in Midwifery and Reproductive health Nursing (or Maternal and Neonatal Nursing) in addition to BSc Nursing from an accredited university.
  • A minimum of five (5) years post-PhD experience in teaching at university level or in research/industry.
  • Evidence of engagement in continuing research.
  • Valid Practising License from the Nursing Council of Kenya

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in Medical Lab Science from an accredited KMTC
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Lab Science
  • MSc Medical Lab Science is an added advantage
  • Three (3) years Clinical experience since graduation.
  • Valid Practicing license from relevant body
  • Additional training or certification in the relevant area will be an added advantage.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Building of specimen repository for the biomedical laboratories
  • Ensuring best practices in the management of science, technology and biomedical laboratories for improved performance and achievements.
  • Ensuring Christian behaviour and appropriate behaviour both internal and external in line with the institutions vision.
  • Ensuring security and safety in the laboratories.
  • Implementing change initiatives to achieve desired university plans and culture.
  • Preparing & setting up of equipment for use by faculty for teaching in the laboratories
  • Preparing practical session manuals and procedures in line with set standards.
  • Requisition of laboratory equipment and inventory management.
  • Training of students on the handling and use of laboratory equipment to ensure safety aand security in the lab for both users and equipment

 

Lecturer – Broadcast Media

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Earned PhD in Media Studies or related area (or a Master’s degree in relevant area in exceptional cases with experience) from an accredited University.
  • Atleast three (3) years teaching experience at university level or in research.
  • Registered with the relevant professional body.
  • A minimum of 24 publication points, of which at least 16 points should be from refered journal papers
  • Evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops.
  • Evidence of active participation in school/departmental activites or demonstrated leadership in university activities
  • Demonstration of teaching abilities in specific areas of Radio Production, Programme Scripting, Digital and Analog Studio Operations, and General Broadcast Journalism Practice

  • Registered with the relevant professional body.
