Job Description

The Kenya Actors Guild (KAG) is the national professional representative body for actors in Kenya, mandated to safeguard actors’ rights, welfare, and professional standards while strengthening advocacy, capacity building, and industry coordination.

Operations Officer

Role Purpose:

  • To coordinate implementation of Guild programs, operational planning, and institutional performance management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop annual operational work plans aligned with the Strategic Plan
  • Coordinate implementation of Guild programs and projects
  • Monitor performance indicators and program outcomes
  • Support partnership implementation and stakeholder coordination
  • Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures
  • Prepare institutional performance and progress reports

Strategic Contribution

  • Ensures effective execution of Guild priorities
  • Strengthens accountability and performance monitoring

 

Communications Officer

Role Purpose:

  • Role Purpose: To manage internal and external communications, public engagement, and brand positioning of the Guild.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Guild communication strategies
  • Manage media relations and public awareness campaigns
  • Coordinate member communication and engagement platforms
  • Manage digital communication channels (website and social media)
  • Develop publications, advocacy materials, and Guild reports
  • Support visibility of member achievements and Guild programs

Strategic Contribution

  • Enhances Guild visibility and industry influence
  • Strengthens member engagement and advocacy impact

Office Administrator

Role Purpose:

  • To provide administrative, logistical, and clerical support to ensure efficient Secretariat operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate office operations and record management
  • Provide logistical support for meetings, programs, and events
  • Manage correspondence and document filing systems
  • Support Board and committee meeting coordination
  • Serve as first contact point for member and stakeholder inquiries
  • Maintain institutional documentation and archives

Strategic Contribution

  •  Ensures institutional stability and operational efficiency

Media Officer

Role Purpose:

To manage and produce high-quality visual and multimedia content that documents, promotes, and enhances the visibility of the Guild’s programs, members, and institutional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Production & Documentation
  • Post-Production & Media Editing
  • Media Content Strategy Support
  • Live Coverage & Digital Media Support
  • Brand & Quality Assurance
  • Equipment & Asset Management

  • Enhances the Guild’s public image and industry credibility
  • Strengthens advocacy impact through compelling visual storytelling
