Production Foreman
Reporting to the Bakery Manager, the Production Foreman will be responsible for overseeing production operations within the branch bakery. The role ensures smooth running of daily activities by monitoring stock rotation, achieving yield and production targets, enforcing safety and quality standards, and supervising bakery staff.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and schedule all production employees, ensuring proper duty rosters.
- Oversee daily operations of the plant in a sanitary and safe manner.
- Coordinate with bakery managers and maintenance staff to minimize downtime.
- Enforce daily food safety, quality, and security procedures.
- Organize training for staff to ensure competence in safety, legality, and quality.
- Review production and quality records for compliance with company standards.
- Plan production activities in liaison with the Branch Manager.
- Supervise product delivery, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Monitor and control use of resources such as fleet, utilities, equipment, and materials.

Bakery Manager
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily bakery operations, overseeing production and ensuring adherence to schedules.
- Develop and implement bakery production plans, coordinate with Operations Manager, and allocate resources efficiently.
- Monitor production processes to meet quality standards and production quotas.
- Supervise and manage raw materials, including daily stock counts, reorder levels, and accurate inventory maintenance.
- Prepare and publish weekly duty rosters and monthly schedules for bakery staff.

- Ensure compliance with occupational health, food safety (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC), and environmental regulations.

- Occupational Trade Tests III/II/I for machine operators from a recognized institution.
- First Aid Certificate Course (minimum 1 week) from a recognized institution.
- Experience with oil extraction equipment or similar processing machinery is a plus.
Machine Operator
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and operate oil extraction machinery (presses, centrifuges, decanters, separators).
- Monitor machine settings, adjust controls, and check pulp input to ensure smooth operation.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, perform minor adjustments, and escalate repairs when necessary.
- Track and maximize production efficiency, ensuring output meets targets.
- Conduct quality checks on oil purity, viscosity, color, and moisture content throughout production.

Forklift Operator
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to transport avocados within ripening chambers and production areas.
- Load and unload avocados from trucks, ensuring proper stacking and storage.
- Arrange bins logically as per GRN to avoid mix-ups.
- Follow all safety protocols and conduct regular forklift inspections.
- Handle avocados carefully to maintain quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Ripening Chamber Supervisor and other team members for smooth operations.

Qualifications & Experience

Quality Controller
Position Summary
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the consistent quality and safety of avocado products. The role involves monitoring all production stages, from raw material reception to finished product packaging, to ensure compliance with internal standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on incoming fruits, in-process, and finished products.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures to ensure product safety and consistency.
- Monitor cold room conditions, fruit quality during offloading, and hygiene across production areas.
- Perform laboratory testing, including sensory evaluations, FFA analysis, Peroxide Value, and dry matter tests.
- Maintain accurate QA records, reports, and non-conformance documentation.
- Troubleshoot causes of deviations, propose corrective/preventive actions, and advise management.
- Provide training to production staff on QA standards, hygiene, and SOP adherence.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, HACCP, GMP, and food labeling standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Storekeeper
Position Summary
Reporting to the Accountant, the Storekeeper will be responsible for receiving, recording, organizing, and issuing raw materials, packaging items, spare parts, and finished avocado oil products. The role ensures accurate stock management, proper storage conditions, and compliance with company policies to support smooth production and distribution processes.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries of raw materials and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the system and reconcile stock variances.
- Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) principles are applied.
- Properly store raw materials, packaging, spare parts, and finished avocado oil products under required conditions.
- Issue materials and packaging to production and prepare finished goods for dispatch.
- Maintain GRNs, issue notes, stock cards, dispatch records, and inventory reports.
- Safeguard stores against theft, pilferage, contamination, and unauthorized access.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO, GMP, and audit requirements.
- Liaise with procurement, production, and quality control teams to support smooth operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of a Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Stores Management, or a related field.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Weighbridge Clerk will be responsible for overseeing weighbridge operations, ensuring accurate weighing of incoming and outgoing avocado vehicles, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily weighbridge operations to ensure accurate and efficient weighing of vehicles.
- Supervise and guide offloading casuals while ensuring adherence to procedures and safety protocols.
- Accurately record and document all weighbridge transactions and forward records to the procurement team.
- Conduct visual inspections and quality checks on incoming avocado fruits to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Coordinate with drivers, procurement, and other departments for smooth operations.
- Address driver, supplier, and farmer concerns, ensuring good customer service.
- Maintain accurate records and generate daily reports.

Electrician
- Reporting to the Production & Maintenance Manager, the Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of machinery within a workshop environment. The role requires a thorough understanding of troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and calibrating equipment, appliances, and apparatus to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety and operational efficiency.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Install and configure instrumentation, wiring, outlets, and controls for plant equipment.
- Integrate new systems with existing infrastructure; interpret diagrams and perform initial testing.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration, and routine inspections on bakery machines.
- Monitor instrumentation/controls, troubleshoot PLC-linked devices, sensors, and final control elements.
- Maintain documentation of installation, maintenance, calibration, and incidents.
- Install and maintain safety/distribution components; conduct risk assessments.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and workshop staff; provide technical support and training.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation, Industrial/Electronic Technology, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in instrumentation & control in an industrial/workshop setting.
- Basic knowledge of PLC and SCADA software.
- Familiarity with VFDs and ability to troubleshoot/repair failures (AB experience is an advantage).
- Solid electrical background with ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
