Product & Marketing Manager

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Brand & Communication Strategy

  • Lead all external communications—visual, written, and digital—to ensure brand consistency and strong market resonance.
  • Strengthen Mogo’s brand positioning through strategic public relations initiatives.
  • Design and execute social media strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation.

Product Strategy & Development

  • Define and execute the company’s product development roadmap, informed by market needs and customer insights.
  • Identify and implement upselling, cross-selling, and product bundling opportunities.
  • Launch and scale new products (e.g., Smartphone Financing, Boda Logbook Loans) based on market demand.

 Marketing Campaigns & Promotions

  • Develop and lead integrated digital marketing strategies focused on sales growth.
  • Plan and manage end-to-end marketing campaigns and product-specific promotions.
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention through data-driven marketing initiatives.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead key initiatives that support operational efficiency and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, product, and operations teams to align marketing execution with business priorities.

Influencer Manager

  • The Influencer Manager drives MOGO’s brand visibility, credibility and engagement via strategic partnerships with content creators, social influencers and brand ambassadors. This role crafts and executes influencer-led campaigns aligned with the brand’s marketing, communications and product objectives (e.g., logbook loans, Boda & Tuk Tuk loans). You will build long-term influencer relationship frameworks, negotiate partnerships, monitor performance, optimise for ROI and ensure the influencer network supports our growth agenda in Kenya.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage an influencer marketing strategy (macro, micro & nano influencers) that aligns with MOGO’s marketing campaigns and brand positioning in Kenya.   • Identify, vet and shortlist influencers and content creators across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook) relevant to our target segments (e.g., vehicle owners, boda/tuk-tuk drivers, youth, working professionals).
  • Negotiate partnership terms, contracts and deliverables with influencers and talent agencies; ensure compliance with brand guidelines and legal/contractual frameworks. Jaabz+1
  • Lead influencer campaign execution: briefing, coordinating creative assets, scheduling posts, tracking content cadence, and liaising with content team/videographer for asset creation.
  • Monitor, measure and report on influencer campaign performance (engagement, reach, conversions/lift to leads or applications, cost per acquisition, ROI). Provide insights and recommend optimisation.
  • Maintain and grow an influencer database, track performance history, maintain budgets and ensure timely payments and contract renewals.
  • Collaborate with Digital, Paid Media, Content Strategy, PR and Field Marketing teams to align influencer outreach with broader campaigns (for example, offline activations, branch events, field marketer visits, social media pushes).
  • Stay abreast of trending creators, social media formats (Reels, Shorts, Lives), platform algorithms and influencer marketing best practices in the Kenyan/East African context.
  • Manage crises or brand-risk issues relating to influencer content (e.g., off-brand behaviour, negative mentions) and escalate appropriately.
  • Prepare periodic reports (monthly, quarterly) for senior management showing influencer contribution to brand metrics, lead funnel, marketing ROI and lessons learned for the next cycle.

What you will need:

Skills & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies or related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in influencer marketing, brand partnerships or digital marketing.
  • Proven track record of concepting, executing and measuring influencer campaigns.
  • Strong network/understanding of Kenyan social media ecosystem, creators and digital trends.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyse influencer campaign metrics and derive actionable insights.
  • Organized, able to manage multiple campaigns, budgets and relationships concurrently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets) and familiarity with influencer tracking tools or social analytics platforms.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for storytelling, brand alignment and content performance

 

Inventory & Reverse Logistics Operations Officer (Device Financing)

What you will do:

Chain of Custody & Device Accountability

  • Track and document the end-to-end movement of devices from customer handover through to the service provider.
  • Ensure accurate logging of IMEI/serial numbers at every transfer point.
  • Maintain clear audit trails for all devices handled, ensuring zero gaps in custody.

Device Processing & Quality Control

  • Perform device flashing, grading, and functional verification in line with company standards.
  • Confirm device condition and specifications match intake records before processing.
  • Flag and escalate inconsistencies or suspicious device alterations.

Inventory & Stock Reconciliation

  • Conduct daily and periodic stock reconciliations between physical devices and system records.
  • Investigate stock variances, shortages, or mismatches promptly.
  • Prepare discrepancy reports and support resolution actions.

Anti-Fraud & Risk Control

  • Implement and adhere to anti-fraud controls across device handling and storage.
  • Identify red flags such as IMEI duplication, device swaps, or unauthorized movement.
  • Support internal audits and investigations related to stock integrity.

Systems & Documentation

  • Update inventory management systems accurately and in real time.
  • Maintain structured documentation for audits, compliance, and reporting.
  • Ensure SOP adherence across all processing and inventory workflows.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Liaise with customer service, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless handovers.
  • Escalate operational risks or process gaps to management with recommendations

What you will need:

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar operational environment, such as device processing, inventory control, refurbishment, or operations-heavy roles.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field (e.g. Information Systems, IT, Business Operations,or related disciplines).
  • Strong systems and technology orientation, with the ability to learn new tools and platforms quickly.
  • High level of digital literacy, including basic data entry, device identification, and system navigation.
  • Technical competencies related to device processing, flashing, and grading are trainable on the job.
