Job Description

Nyandarua County is a County in the former Central Province of Kenya. Its capital and largest town is Ol Kalou.Formerly the capital was Nyahururu, which is now part of the Laikipia County. Nyandarua County has population of 596,268 [and an area of 3,304 km²

Chief Officer: Youth Affairs, Sports and Innovation

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the respective County Executive Committee Member as the Accounting and Authorized Officer for the Department.
  • Day-to-day administration and coordination of the respective county department per Section 46 of the County Government Act.
  • Providing strategic policy direction for effective service delivery.
  • Implementing policies and programs within the department.
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans, sector development goals, and performance management.
  • Formulating and implementing effective programs to attain Vision 2030.
  • Overseeing management of finances, budget estimates, annual work plans, and programs.

Requirements

  • Be a Kenyan citizen.
  • First degree in a relevant field from a university recognized in Kenya.
  • Five (5) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in Programme Based Budgeting, Planning, and Financial Analysis.
  • Thorough understanding of Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya and Vision 2030.
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities

Requirements

  • At least five (5) years’ experience in a leadership/Senior Management level in Public or Private Sector.
  • Knowledge of Programme Based Budgeting, Planning, and Financial Analysis.
  • A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.

 

Chief Officer: Education and Vocational Training

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Duties
