Job Description

Afya Research Africa (ARA) was established in Kenya in 2009 initially as a centre of research/evidence that would build a baseline for programs that create access to medical care. Recognizing the significant challenges faced by underserved poor rural populations in accessing healthcare services, we transitioned into action in 2013.

Nursing Officer- Nango

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough medical assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients.
  • Perform medical procedures and minor surgeries as required.
  • Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Participate in health promotion and community outreach programs.
  • Adhere to medical ethics, standards, and guidelines.

Qualifications;

  • Diploma in Nursing.
  • Valid registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
  • Minimum of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.]
