Job Responsibilities

The Reindeer Station Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Reindeer Station, a restaurant and bar serving the Diego Garcia community. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing food and beverage operations to ensure high-quality service standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Leading and supervising a diverse, multi-national team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.

MSC Riding Gang Painter / Chipper

  • Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the U.S. government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking an MSC Riding Gang Painter / Chipper to support a unique U.S. Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of the Riding Gang team performing preservation, chipping, scraping, sanding, and coating work aboard MSC vessels.
  • Prepare surfaces by removing rust, corrosion, old coatings, and debris using hand tools, pneumatic tools, grinders, and chipping hammers.
  • Assist with coating application, touch‑ups, and preservation tasks in accordance with MSC, Navy, and industry standards.
  • Support corrosion‑control activities, including surface prep, priming, and painting of ship structures, compartments, and equipment.
  • Ensure proper use of paint materials, tools, PPE, and equipment, maintaining cleanliness and readiness of all assigned gear.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors to complete preservation tasks safely, efficiently, and to required quality standards.

Lead Fire Alarm Dispatcher

The Lead Fire Alarm Dispatcher is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Fire Alarm Dispatch Center while ensuring timely, accurate, and eƯective emergency communications in support of Fire and Emergency Services. Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor, and provide daily oversight of Fire Alarm Dispatch personnel.

  • Amentum is seeking a Grounds Crew Leader to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The Grounds Crew Leader will oversee a team responsible for the maintenance and servicing of improved grounds, operational areas, and stormwater drainage systems, ensuring compliance with specified appearance and operational standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of grounds crew members in maintaining improved grounds, operational areas, and stormwater drainage systems to ensure a neat, functional, and visually appealing environment.
  • Develop and implement schedules for routine grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, planting, mulching, and watering to maintain landscaped areas.
  • Inspect and ensure proper operation of stormwater drainage systems, taking necessary actions to address debris, blockages, or maintenance needs.
  • Respond to service orders and ensure all maintenance tasks and issues are addressed promptly and in accordance with service requirements and standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Golf Course Marshall is responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and customer service aspects of the golf facility, ensuring compliance with operational standards and providing an exceptional experience for patrons. This role includes oversight of the golf course, driving range, snack shop, and pro-shop. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Golf Course Operations:

  • Overseeing the daily operation and maintenance of the golf course, driving range, snack shop, and pro-shop.
  • Scheduling and coordinating tee times, tournaments, and special events to maximize the use of the golf facilities.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures in compliance with CNICINST 1710.3 Chapter 20 Sections 2004 and 2008.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and readiness of facilities and grounds.

Staff Management:

  • Supervising, training, and scheduling staff to ensure smooth operations across all areas of the facility.
  • Monitoring staff performance and providing guidance to ensure excellent service delivery.

Customer Service and Retail Oversight:

  • Managing the daily operations of the snack shop and pro-shop, ensuring inventory control and proper stock levels.

Facility and Course Maintenance:

Minimum Requirements

  • At least three (3) years of experience in operating or maintaining a golf facility that included a golf course, driving range, snack shop, and pro-shop.

  • Strong operational knowledge of golf course management, including customer service, maintenance, and retail infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising teams and managing daily operations.

  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance for the duration of deployment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

WHE Certification Official

Job Responsibilities

  • The WHE Certification Official is responsible for administering, monitoring, and documenting Wheeled Handling Equipment (WHE) certification and qualification programs in accordance with U.S. Navy and Department of Defense safety and operational standards. Responsibilities include evaluating operator proficiency, verifying training requirements, and ensuring personnel are properly certified to operate assigned equipment.
  • The Certification Official conducts practical and written assessments, reviews operator performance, and maintains accurate certification records and files. This role includes coordinating with supervisors, safety personnel, and training staff to ensure compliance with equipment‑specific and site‑specific certification requirements.
  • Additional duties include tracking certification expirations, scheduling re‑certifications, supporting inspections and audits, and providing guidance on WHE safety and operational procedures. The WHE Certification Official supports safe, compliant, and mission‑ready equipment operations in a remote, mission‑driven environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in equipment operation, training, certification, or safety compliance
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of wheeled handling equipment operations and safety practices
  • Ability to evaluate operator performance and follow certification standards
  • Proficiency with recordkeeping, documentation, and basic computer applications
  • Must be in possession of a valid Passport and be able to travel internationally.
  • Passport should be valid for a minimum of 1 plus years at the time of hiring.
