Institution & HoReCa Sales Coordinator (IHSC)

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver Institution & HoReCa channel sales targets (volume & revenue).
  • Drive new account acquisition and ensure retention of existing key accounts.
  • Manage and coordinate tenders, contracts, and supply agreements.
  • Support and guide regional sales reps in managing and growing accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand coverage, improve penetration, and maximize share of market.
  • Conduct market intelligence to track opportunities, risks, and competitor activities.
  • Ensure timely collections, proper credit control, and account profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with structured engagement programs.
  • Provide structured performance reports and insights to the National Sales Manager.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, Procurement, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in FMCG sales, with at least 2 years in Institutions/HoReCa channel management.
  • Strong track record in tender management, B2B sales, and account management.
  • Deep understanding of distributor networks, institutional procurement processes, and HoReCa operations.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and contract management skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a field sales team across multiple regions.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and market intelligence skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ERP systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fluent in English and Swahili (both written and spoken).

 

General Trade Sales Coordinator (GTSC)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver GT sales & distribution targets by region and channel.
  • Manage and develop distributors, wholesalers, and retail networks.
  • Lead and coach TDRs, reps, and van salesmen to drive execution.
  • Secure numeric distribution and speed-to-market for new products.
  • Ensure availability, pricing compliance, visibility, and activations in GT.
  • Consolidate sales reports, competitor tracking, and market insights.
  • Drive timely collections and enforce trade compliance.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5–7 years’ FMCG sales experience (at least 3 in General Trade).
  • Proven distributor & field team management experience.
  • Strong negotiation, execution, and market development skills

 

Modern Trade Sales Coordinator (MTSC)

The Modern Trade Sales Coordinator (MTSC) is responsible for achieving Modern Trade sales targets (volume & revenue) and ensuring flawless execution of all ICP products in supermarkets. The role manages supermarket buyer relationships, drives product listings, activations, visibility, and ensures profitable growth of the Modern Trade channel.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Ownership & Target Delivery

  • Deliver Modern Trade sales targets (volume & revenue).
  • Supervise account representatives, merchandisers, and regional MT representatives to achieve targets.

Buyer & Customer Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with supermarket buyers.
  • Manage listings, activations, negotiations, and compliance with trade terms.
  • Ensure all ICP SKUs (new & existing) are listed, active, and free of blocked codes.

Execution Excellence

  • Drive planogram compliance, displays, and in-store visibility.
  • Execute promotions, activations, and new product launches (end caps, gondolas, samplings, POS).
  • Ensure on-shelf availability (OSA) of all SKUs.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Consolidate MT sales reports, competitor tracking, and market insights.
  • Provide timely feedback on consumer response and competitor activities around new SKUs.

Collections & Compliance

  • Monitor collections, ensuring payments are made within credit terms.
  • Oversee adherence to trade agreements, discounts, and rebates.

Training & Team Development

  • Train merchandisers and sales reps on selling stories, product knowledge, and execution standards.

Requirements

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years’ sales experience, with at least 3 years in Modern Trade within FMCG.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent understanding of supermarket operations, planograms, and retail execution.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.

National Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities

Sales Ownership & Target Delivery

  • Own and deliver total company sales targets (volume & revenue).
  • Break down national targets into channel and regional targets to ensure accountability.

Selling, Listing & New Product Introductions

  • Lead the national selling strategy across all channels.
  • Secure new product listings in Modern Trade, General Trade, Institutions, and HoReCa.
  • Champion speed-to-market execution for new products to outpace competition.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing national sales team.
  • Drive a performance culture through target setting, reviews, and ongoing coaching.

Route-to-Market (RTM) Strategy

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve RTM strategies across all channels.
  • Ensure product availability, visibility, and promotions nationwide.

Customer & Key Account Management

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and trade partners.
  • Oversee compliance with trade terms, collections, discounts, and rebates.

Requirements

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (MBA is an added advantage).
  • Minimum 10 years’ progressive sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in FMCG or related industry.
  • Proven record of delivering national sales targets and leading high-performance teams.
  • Strong understanding of Route-to-Market models, trade terms, and customer management.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial acumen with strong data analysis and forecasting skills.
  • High resilience, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Executive Driver

Key Responsibilities

  •  Provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation for the employer and family members to various destinations.
  •  Plan routes in advance, considering traffic and road conditions, to ensure punctual arrivals.
  •  Maintain the vehicle in top condition, including regular cleaning, fueling, servicing, and ensuring all documentation (insurance, inspection) is up to date.
  •  Conduct daily vehicle checks (oil, water, tires, brakes, fuel) before trips.
  •  Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, servicing, and repairs.
  •  Ensure strict adherence to traffic laws and road safety regulations.
  •  Assist with loading/unloading of items, shopping, and luggage as needed.
  •  Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding family matters at all times.
  •  Be available and flexible to adjust to changing schedules or occasional travel outside Nairobi.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
