Job Description

CDL was founded in early 2003 by its current Managing Director Lucy Mmari.Within her 14 year tenure in a well established logistics company, She honed her skill in human resources management and thereafter started CDL.

Stores Clerk

Key Duties and Responsibilities.

Production inventory

  • Update production inventory data on the data base (SAP) and share production inventory stock reports tmanagement for stock level status.
  • Update on the SAP database of all receipted & issued data for raw and packaging materials.
  • Create and receive transfer orders for raw material & finished products.
  • Send flour stocks and outstanding un-discharged trucks report.
  • Maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary tmeet production demands.
  • Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts texpedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.

Flour Milling Operations:

  • Assist with the intake, cleaning, and milling of wheat, as well as flour blending.

Record Keeping and Reporting:

  • Document and report on various aspects of the milling process, including wheat intake, flour production, and other relevant data.

Customer or Driver Interaction:

  • Interact with stakeholders -customers, drivers, loaders or other personnel involved in the milling process.

Inventory / stock Management:

  • Organize and maintain the store, ensuring proper storage and accessibility of materials and products.
  • Maintain and generate accurate records of flour and other materials in stock movement, ensure proper storage and handling.

Quality Control:

  • Assisting in ensuring the raw materials and final flour product by checking for accuracy in weighing, blending, and other aspects of the process.
  • SOPs and established processes
  • Adhering testablished safety and operational procedures tensure the smooth and efficient operation of the milling plant.

Accountabilities:

  • The Stores Clerk is accountable for the following:

  • Damages/wastage

Education and Key qualification Requirements:

  • KCSE plus Higher-level qualification in store.
  • Certificate in supply chain management / logistics is desirable.
  • Extensive work experience of over 3 years in a similar position.
  • Must have worked in flour milling company
  • SAP experience is a must for the incumbent.
  • Ability twork under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic, attention tdetail and quality focus.
  • Experienced in food safety audits.

 

Category Manager (Commercial Manager)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy aligned with business objectives to drive revenue growth and market share. Set and monitor performance targets for regional teams and assess market trends to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Sales Category Management: Lead brand ownership and positioning for all pharmaceutical products at a national level. Oversee the creation of effective marketing campaigns, ensuring high ROI and alignment with brand objectives. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop innovative promotional activities for brand visibility.
  • People Management: Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of Sales Managers, Team Leaders, Ken Account Managers and Sales Representatives to build a high-performing national team.
  • Supplier and Customer Management: Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure product availability and quality standards. Build and nurture customer relationships to achieve high satisfaction rates, customer loyalty, adapting approaches based on client feedback.
  • Debt Collection and Management: Develop and execute strategies for managing inventory and ensuring effective debt collection and credit management to minimize overdue accounts while
  • Financials: Manage the commercial unit’s budget, targeting gross profit (GP) and overall unit profitability. Ensure accountability for financial metrics, including return on investment (ROI) for marketing activities. Prepare and oversee annual budgets, closely monitoring and adjusting to maintain financial health.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a minimum of a science related academic qualification with a valid applicable PPB license
  • Bachelor’s degree Sales & Marketing or relevant business field
  • An MBA will be treated as an added advantage
  • A minimum of 10 year’s experience in pharmaceuticals sales, out of which 5 years should be in a senior leadership role at a regional level.
  • Be a strategist with excellent leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must have excellent PR with the Kenyan market i.e. wholesalers, Hospitals, Chemists and sub distributors
  • Strong people management skills with high business acumen capacity

 

National Key Accounts Manager – Pharmaceutical

  • To lead and grow strategic partnerships with key hospital and healthcare institutions across Kenya—including Tier A, Tier B, and other public, mission owned and private sector stakeholders—by establishing a best-in-class Key Accounts framework. The role focuses on optimizing listing of products, distribution, enhancing customer satisfaction, protecting profit margins, driving strategic growth, and building a high-performing key accounts commercial team.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Route to Market & Distribution Optimization
  • Design and optimize route-to-market strategies to enhance direct distribution efficiency and coverage.
  • Evaluate and improve distribution infrastructure and parameters to ensure product availability in key institutions.

  • Develop and manage long-term relationships with Tier A and B hospitals across the country.

Qualifications, Skills and other prerequisites

  • Degree in Sales & Marketing or any other equivalent
  • MBA is an added advantage

Experience

  • At least 10 years’ experience in all aspects of developing and managing marketing and sales strategies
  • Must have proven track record managing key institutional accounts in the pharmaceutical or healthcare distribution industry.

 

Injection Moulding Machine Operator (Preform & Cap – Krones/Nestsal)

  • Our client seeks an experienced Injection Moulding Machine Operator for their plastics production line, focusing on Preform and Cap operations using Krones and Nestsal machines. Ideal candidates must have 3–5 years of experience in plastics manufacturing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating and monitoring Krones and Nestsal injection moulding machines for preform and cap production
  • Adjusting machine parameters to maintain optimal output and quality standards
  • Performing routine checks, minor maintenance, and troubleshooting of the injection mould machines
  • Ensuring molded products meet defined specifications and carrying out basic quality control checks
  • Maintaining accurate production and downtime records, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should have at least 3–5 years of relevant experience in a plastics manufacturing setup, specifically handling preform and cap injection moulding processes.
