Job Description

Harley’s Limited is a company registered in 1953 that deals in the sales, marketing and distribution of healthcare products, pharmaceuticals, surgical-equipment, medical equipment, ophthalmic equipment, theatre equipment and OTC products. The volume of business generated since the current management took over from 1975 has continued to grow steadily.

Telesales Assistant

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Proactively source and contact potential customers through outbound calls, cold-calls, referrals and databases. Qualify leads by assessing customer needs, purchasing potential and decision-making capacity to build a solid sales pipeline.
  • Sales Conversion: Present and promote pharmaceutical and healthcare products to clients over the phone, clearly communicating value propositions, converting leads into confirmed orders and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients by understanding their needs, providing product solutions, and ensuring smooth customer experience to drive retention and repeat business.
  • Pipeline and Sales Follow-up Management: Track all customer interactions, quotations and follow-ups using sales trackers, while providing timely updates, resolving concerns, and moving prospects through the sales funnel until closure.
  • Reporting and Target Monitoring: Maintain accurate sales records and submit daily, weekly and monthly performance reports. Monitor personal sales progress against set KPIs, including call volume, lead conversion rate and revenue contribution to the commercial team.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma or Certificate in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, or any related field.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in a telesales, inside sales, or customer service role, preferably within the pharmaceutical, healthcare or FMCG sectors.
  • Proficient in telephone sales techniques, lead conversion strategies and objection handling.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a clear and confident phone presence.
  • Ability to use CRM systems, MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word), and other sales tracking tools.
  • Target-driven with strong time management, follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in English and Kiswahili (or any other regional language, depending on client base).

 

Category Coordinator

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Reporting & Insights: Prepare and share accurate, timely reports on sales performance, stock levels, forecasts and investments. Support internal and external reviews with clear, data-driven presentations.
  • Commercial Operations Support: Assist in the execution of category and business plans. Track sales vs. targets and provide commercial insights to support revenue growth and portfolio performance.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with sales, supply chain, procurement and finance teams to ensure seamless flow of information and alignment on operational priorities.
  • Compliance & Operational Excellence: Ensure adherence to company policies, governance framework, SOPs and Quality Management System (QMS) standards in all processes, reporting and communications.
  • Market Intelligence & Strategy Support: Collect and analyse market and competitor data through collaboration with the salesforce. Support development of strategic initiatives such as pricing reviews and counteraction plans.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A diploma and/or bachelor’s degree in a business- or science-related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a commercial, business development or sales analytics role.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills; proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Sage).
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Self-driven, organized and capable of working in a high-performance environment.
  • Experience in healthcare or FMCG sectors will be an advantage.

 

Supply Chain Coordinator

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Order Management & Inventory Control: Coordinate supplier orders based on approved forecasts and stock movement. Monitor goods in transit and ensure timely delivery to maintain optimal stock levels across the business.
  • Forecasting Support and Inventory Reporting: Generate and share regular reports on inventory status, order tracking, and goods movement. Support demand planning by providing data on Demand Plan Accuracy (DPA), sales trends and stock availability.
  • Cross-Functional & External Coordination: Collaborate with sales, warehouse, finance and business unit teams to align procurement and stock decisions. Engage external partners such as suppliers, clearing agents and regulatory bodies (PPB, KRA, KEBS) to ensure timely, compliant inbound deliveries.
  • Procurement & Logistics Optimization: Execute end-to-end procurement processes while consolidating orders for cost savings. Coordinate inbound logistics, maintain up-to-date records (purchase orders, GRNs, delivery notes), and follow up on supplier performance and documentation.
  • Compliance & Process Integrity: Ensure full adherence to departmental governance framework, company SOPs, procurement policies and ethical standards. Comply with all relevant Kenyan regulations and support internal audits or quality assurance processes as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A Diploma and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics or Business.
  • A professional certification such as CIPS, KISM or APICS will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supply chain or procurement role, preferably in the pharmaceutical, FMCG or medical distribution sectors.
  • Proficient in supply chain software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, MS Excel, inventory tracking tools).
  • Sound knowledge of Kenyan import regulations, tax procedures and supplier compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to upholding company values and compliance standards.
  • Experience in healthcare operations will be an advantage.

 

Sales Representative

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales Execution: Drive territory growth by meeting set targets for customer acquisition, revenue and product uptake. Utilize route-to-market plans, territory maps, and call planning tools to maximize field effectiveness and product penetration. Identify and convert sales opportunities by offering appropriate product solutions tailored to customer needs across pharmacies, institutions and healthcare outlets.
  • Market Intelligence: Continuously gather and interpret market data, competitor activities and product performance using available resources, distributor sales data and customer feedback. Support the introduction of new products by providing relevant market input, identifying gaps and aligning launch activities with channel demands and territory needs.
  • Sales Planning & Reporting: Evaluate territory potential and develop monthly and quarterly commercial plans aligned to business goals. Track sales, order trends and performance against targets using sales dashboards, ERP systems, and CRM tools. Prepare and submit regular reports to the Line Manager detailing territory performance, pipeline and challenges.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders including Pharmacists, Procurement Officers, and institutional buyers. Leverage customer segmentation strategies and account-based management practices to prioritize high-impact clients and build trust for sustained commercial success.
  • Compliance, Policy Adherence & Service Excellence: Ensure full compliance with the governance framework, Harley’s’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Management System (QMS), and company policies. Uphold ethical standards in all commercial dealings and contribute to a culture of excellence through reliable customer service, prompt feedback resolution and responsible territory management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Diploma in Pharmacy, Sales, Marketing, or any related Science discipline. A higher qualification will be an advantage.
  • At least 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Solid understanding of key customer segments, including pharmacies, trade outlets, hospitals and institutions within the region.
  • Demonstrated experience in business analytics, reporting, and preparing sales presentations and business performance reviews.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in delivering impactful presentations to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM/ERP systems is preferred.

 

Cyber Security Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cyber Security Operational Support: Project, configure, implement, and maintain all security platforms and any other related software, such as anti-virus, routers, email gateway, switches, firewalls, cryptography systems, SIEM and MDM.
  • Operational Management: Perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  • Reporting: Monitor and test system performance by preparing and delivering system performance statistics and reports.
  • ICT Projects: Participate in the acquisition of software and equipment.
  • End User Support: Provide excellent customer service and proven ability to professionally communicate via email, text and phone calls, while delivering effective and efficient end-user support.
  • Planning and Strategy: Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with the IT strategy.
  • Log Analysis: Coordinate and oversee log analysis for company managed services offerings to ensure customer policy and security requirements are met.
  • Network Security: Guarantee network security best practices are executed through auditing: router, change control, switch, firewall configurations and monitoring. To stay up to date with the latest technological trends.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • CNNE certification will be treated as an advantage.
  • Proven experience in overseeing the design, development and implementation of software systems, applications and related products.
  • Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, general software management and best practices.
