Jamii Sacco is a savings and credit society: it was registered in 1972. Our offices are at Mariakani South B along Mukenia Road. The Membership is open to all traverses in the whole of Kenya.
Manager Internal Audit & Risk
JOB PURPOSE
The job holder is responsible for the independent assessment of the effectiveness of the internal control systems, risk management and governance process with a view to ensure the full attainment of strategic objectives as per the existing strategic plan and to minimize risk level.
FUNCTIONS / KEY RESULTS EXPECTED
- Develop an integrated risk management and compliance framework.
- Develop annual audit plans for approval by appropriate authority and ensure that routine audits are carried out as per the audit plan.
- Develop internal control measures and organize regular reviews of the same measures.
- Provide assurance by assessing and reporting on the effectiveness of governance, in ensuring that the organization achieves the intended strategic and compliance objectives.
- Guarantees complete confidentiality of records and information obtained during audit jobs.
- Carry out audits and investigations and recommend remedial actions as per operational procedures requirements and as the need may arise.
- Develop and maintain a sound audit manual detailing audit practices, procedures and standards.
- Determine the accuracy and reliability of accounting records by analyzing systems and internal controls.
- To ascertain the completeness and effectiveness of established policies and objectives, plans and procedures of the Society.
- To review and appraise the soundness, adequacy and application of accounting, financial and other operating controls.
- To carry out planned tests to ensure protection of Society’s assets and verification of liabilities.
- To prepare timely quarterly and annual audit reports for executive management and the audit committee and ensure audit working papers are properly prepared, referenced, reviewed and documented systematically.
- To follow-up with the Management on observations/recommendations and directions issued by the Supervisory Committee and External Auditors or government agencies.
- To liaise with External Auditors and ensure that all audit matters/queries are clarified and cleared up.
- To manage the Internal Audit department budget and to ensure budget compliance and cost control.

Principal Officer, Customer Relations
JOB PURPOSE
The job holder oversees the Customer Relations department in ensuring delightful customer experience for the Sacco members and stakeholders and management of the call center.
FUNCTIONS / KEY RESULTS EXPECTED
- Provide timely response and management of issues/ queries by customers and escalate as required.
- To implement a customer service policy to meet and exceed customer/member expectations.
- To compile periodic customer relationship management reports for use by the management in decision making.
- Timely response and management of the contact center ensuring excellent customer experience
- Provide excellent customer service to all members including walk-ins
- Support customer service feedback initiatives by informing members about the customer service survey feedback form on the website and compiling the monthly reports

Principal Officer Sales & Marketing
JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Chief Manager Operations, the job holder will develop and implement marketing and product strategies that will support the SACCO’s drive for business growth while underpinning its objectives of superior service, increased brand equity, and sustainable profitability.
FUNCTIONS / KEY RESULTS EXPECTED
The Jobholder is responsible for:
- To plan, implement, co-ordinate and review the Sacco’s marketing strategies.
- To lead in the creation of a Marketing Strategy for the SACCO and ensure that all key SACCO stakeholders are engaged in this process.
- To identify, explore and develop appropriate new business opportunities for the SACCO – in both income-generating and service provision areas – through networking, representing SACCO at events, marketing and research.
- To lead on the design and implementation of appropriate monitoring and evaluation procedures for all SACCO services.
- To collate and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data to provide regular reports to management.
- To keep up to date with trends and developments in monitoring and evaluation including Impact Assessment Measurement, Social Return on Investment etc.
- To work with the Marketing team to analyze market needs and trends, identify and deliver marketing strategies and initiatives.

JOB PURPOSE
The job holder ensures that loan recoveries are done on time, following up on loans in arrears and communicating with the members and guarantors to ensure that loan payments are implemented effectively.
FUNCTIONS / KEY RESULTS EXPECTED
- To ensure new loans submitted for recovery are recovered timely.
- To contact salaried member’s employers in National Government, County Governments and private sector by telephone, emails, visits to ensure Sacco deductions.
- In putting data on deposits, share capital and benevolent fund, for new applications.
- Effecting variations and adjustments of Sacco deductions as per the members’ request.
- Reconciliations/verifications of fresh loans to identify unrecovered cases.
- Effecting stoppages on all the cleared loans, erroneous deductions and for those who have quit the Sacco.

JOB PURPOSE
The job holder is responsible for evaluating the authorization, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of transaction processing and controls in operating systems. Review application systems and business procedures to determine if they are achieving business objectives.
FUNCTIONS / KEY RESULTS EXPECTED
- Performing general and application control reviews for simple to complex computer information systems.
- Performing information control reviews to include system development standards, operating procedures, system security, programming controls, communication controls, backup and disaster recovery, and system maintenance.

Officer II, FOSA
JOB PURPOSE
The job holder is responsible for efficient and effective execution of the Society’s FOSA operations within the relevant guidelines.
FUNCTIONS / KEY RESULTS EXPECTED
- To disburse members’ salary, loans and all other payments to member’s savings account.
- To reconcile all cash, bank and control accounts, M-pesa accounts and FOSA accounts
- Check and confirm that all documents for account postings have been coded
- Post all receipts and payments in their respective ledger accounts
- To issue ATM cards to members.
- To ensure timely payment of all the invoices received and forward to the relevant persons.
- To clear exit cases and members files in the system
- To prepare, write and ensure the banking of cheques for stakeholders and members daily
- To ensure compliance with all Sacco policies and procedures, laws, regulations and legislation affecting sales, programs and services.

JOB PURPOSE
The Jobholder is responsible for carrying out our direct marketing and recruitment as per the laid targets.
FUNCTIONS / KEY RESULTS EXPECTED
- Marketing the Sacco’s products and services, preparing presentations for prospective customers and following up on any potential members.
- Recruitment of at least 25 members in a month and actively seeking new sales opportunities through calling and emailing potential members across the country.
- Identifying potential business opportunities and sharing the available products with them.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with potential stakeholders.
- Organizing training activities in liaison with the Marketing Team
