Job Description

Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology is situated in Juja, 36 kilometres North East of Nairobi, along Nairobi-Thika Highway. It was started in 1981 as a Middle Level College (Jomo Kenyatta College of Agriculture and Technology (JKCAT)) by the Government of Kenya with the generous assistance from the Japanese Government. Plans for the establishment of JKCAT started in 1977

Assistant Corporate Communications Officer I

Applicants must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations / Mass Communication / Journalism or relevant area from recognized institution
  • Be registered with relevant professional body and be in good standing
  • Be a seasoned writer

Applicants who have at least two (2) years’ experience in digital/broadcast/print journalism/corporate communications and / public relations will have an added advantage.

  • Must possess KCSE/EACE/KCE academic certificate

  • Must possess Diploma from a recognized institution in Land Resource Planning and Management, Environmental Engineering and Management, Soil Sciences and Agronomy, Land Governance and Administration.
  • Have at least three (3) years’ experience in Grade 6 or equivalent position
  • Must possess KCSE/EACE/KCE academic certificate

Applicants must possess:

  • Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Biosystems Engineering or a relevant field with a bias in Agricultural Machinery, Energy and Instrumentation from accredited and recognized university
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering and Biomechanical Engineering or a relevant field with a bias in Agricultural Machinery, Energy and Instrumentation from accredited and recognized university
  • All applicants must be registrable for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in a relevant area and be registered or registrable with a relevant professional body
  • Those with teaching and research experience in an institution of higher learning will have an added advantage.

  • At least three (3) years experiences in grade 12 in the Department of Sport and Games

Sport and Games Assistant Officer I

Applicants must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or relevant area from a recognized institution
  •  At least five (5) years experiences in grade 9 in the Department of Sport and Games
  •  Advanced coaching certificate in a relevant area

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical or relevant area from a recognized institution
  • At least five (5) years experiences in grade 7 in the Department of Sport and Games Advanced coaching certificate in the relevant area and knowledge in water treatment and pool maintenance
  • KCSE/KCE certificate or equivalent

 

Sport and Games Assistant I

  • Diploma in Physical Education or relevant area from a recognized institution
  • At least five (5) years experiences in grade 6 in the Department of Sport and Games
  • Knowledge of Basic First AID.
  • KCSE/KCE certificate or equivalent

Applicants with experience in maintenance of sports pitches/courts/pool or any other sporting facility will have an added advantage

 

Sport and Games Assistant II – Grade 6

Games Attendant II, Grade 3

  • First Aid Certificate
