Assistant Procurement Officer

Job Purpose:

  •  To deliver compassionate, high-quality, and efficient nursing care across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Ensure timely procurement of goods, services and works.
  • Support in Discovering profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships.
  • Support Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
  • Support in Receiving requisitions for services needed by different units, sections, departments and the hospital in general, that are required for running it.
  • Ensure use of updated list of pre-qualified suppliers or contractors to supply and provide various services to the hospital.
  • Help to Monitor and ensure that services provided to the hospital by service lenders are sufficient and up to the required specifications and standards in the hospital.
  • Help Plan for and participate in quarterly and annual stock take.
  • Help Maintain minimum inventory to reduce deadstock and expiries.
  • Any other assigned duty.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma in Procurement or Supply Chain Management from a recognized Institution.
  • At least 1-3 years’ experience in a procurement environment preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Computer efficiency skills.
  • Knowledge of contract law is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of e-procurement systems
  • Knowledge of Public Procurement and Disposal Act

 

Clinical Officer

Job Purpose:

  • Clinical Officer shall be responsible for the management of clinical services at Jordan Hospital providing essential, high quality primary healthcare services, including diagnosing, treating and managing acute and chronic illnesses in outpatient and inpatient setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Taking history of the patient; examining, diagnosing, and treating patient’s common ailments at an outpatient or inpatient health facility;.
  • Guiding and counseling patients; clients and staff on health issues.
  • Organizing health management teams and convening health management committee meetings at the health facility.
  • Referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities.
  • Preparing medico-legal briefs on clinical services.
  • Coaching and mentoring students on attachment.
  • Carrying out surgical procedures as per scope of training.
  • Collecting and compiling data for research on clinical services issues.

Qualification Requirements and Key Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
  • Current practicing certificate..
  • Membership registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of relevant work experience.
  • Competency in emergency procedures (e.g. BLS, ACLS etc) will be an added advantage.
  • Be a graduate between 2021-2025.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.

 

Resident Medical Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out specific procedures, performing operations, and conducting specialist investigations.
  • Taking overall responsibility for daily clinical assessments and prescriptions for all patients attending the hospital.
  • Making notes and preparing documentation, both as a legal record of treatment and to benefit other healthcare professionals.
  • Keeping referring doctors informed of both inpatient and outpatient progress.
  • Maintaining patient rights and confidentiality at all times.
  • Coordinating Continuous Medical Education (CME) sessions as per facility norms.
  • Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for emergency case management and pre-operative care.
  • Contributing clinical expertise to patient care and providing guidance to junior physicians.
  • Liaising with both medical and non-medical hospital staff to ensure quality treatment.
  • Ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations and safety standards.
  • Providing educational and clinical training for clinical staff, and staying up to date with new healthcare regulations.

Qualification Requirements and Key Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized university.
  • Registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
  • Valid practicing license from KMPDC.
  • Valid Indemnity Insurance Certificate.
  • 1–2 years of relevant clinical experience.
  • Experience in clinical risk management and medical documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.

 

Registered Nurse

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care across multiple departments.
  • Administer medication and prescribed treatments.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols.
  • Participate in MCH, PMTCT, surgical, gynecological, and medical clinics.
  • Assist in theatre procedures when required.
  • Ensure medical equipment and supplies are available and functional.
  • Prepare and submit nursing care reports as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and clinical rounds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya and hold a valid practicing license.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (preferred).
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.

 

Nutritionist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating and assessing nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans and screens patients for nutritional risk in accordance with established department protocols and standards.
  • Developing and implementing dietary care plans and provide nutritional counselling.
  • Consulting with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restriction of patients.
  • Planning and initiating medical nutrition therapy to patients if indicated by patient requirements and clinical protocol.
  • Communicating individual nutritional care plans to other health care providers as a member of a health care team.
  • Calculating and writing enteral and parenteral feeds for patients according to patient’s nutritional requirements.
  • Advising patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans and diet modifications, and food selection and preparation.
  • Monitoring food service to ensure conformance to prescribed diets and patient’s nutritional needs.
  • Coordinating recipe development and standardization and develop new menus for different vulnerable groups in the hospital.
  • Preparing departmental reports.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • BSc Food, Nutrition & Dietetics
  • Dietary counselling
  • Preparation of therapeutic diets
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in clinical nutrition
  • Must be registered with KNDI

 

Assistant Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing adjusting entries (recording expenses that have occurred but aren’t yet recorded in the bookkeeping process)
  • Preparing company financial statements.
  • Analyzing costs of operations
  • Aiding the business owner in understanding the impact of financial decisions
  • Recording financial transactions, posting debits and credits
  • Producing invoices
  • Maintaining and balancing subsidiaries, general ledgers, and historical accounts
  • Manage all accounting transactions
  • Prepare budget forecasts
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure timely bank payments
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
  • Audit financial transactions and documents
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bsc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
  • Additional certification (CPA or CIFA) is a plus
  • At least 1 year work experience as an Accountant.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (s)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Experience with general ledger functions
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
