Chairperson, Land Acquisition Tribunal

Constitutional and Statutory Requirements for Appointment:

  • Pursuant to Section 133A (2) (a) of the Land Act CAP 280, applicants for this position must be qualified to be appointed as a judge of the High Court. The applicant must therefore hold the following qualifications:
  • Hold a law degree from a recognized university, or are advocates of the High Court of Kenya, or professionally qualified magistrates, or possess an equivalent qualification in a common-law jurisdiction
  • Have at least ten (10) years’ experience as a distinguished academic, or legal practitioner, or such experience in other relevant legal field;
  • Have held the qualifications specified in paragraphs (i) and (ii) above for a period amounting, in the aggregate, to ten (10) years; irrespective of whether that experience was gained in Kenya or in another Commonwealth Common-Law jurisdiction.

Job Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or any other recognized equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or any other recognized equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (CPA K) or Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) or Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Job Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications:

For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: –

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or any other relevant field;
  • Professional Certification in Information Systems Audit (e.g. CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CGEIT)

  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (C.I.S.A) certificate;
  • Registered as a member of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA);
  • Met the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
  • A certificate in Senior Management Course from the Kenya School of Government or its equivalent from a recognized institution; and

For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: –

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines Commerce (Accounting/Finance), Business Administration or any other recognized equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (CPA K) or Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) or Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

Chairperson, National Civil Aviation Administrative Review Tribunal

Constitutional and Statutory Requirements for Appointment:

  • Pursuant to Section 66 of the Civil Aviation Act CAP 394, applicants to this position must be qualified to be appointed as a judge of the High Court.   • Pursuant to Section 11(I) of the Landlord and Tenant (Shops, Hotels and Catering Establishments Act CAP 301, a person to be appointed as a Business Premises Rent Tribunal must possess the following qualifications. i.    Hold a relevant bachelor’s degree in the relevant field from a university recognized in Kenya. ii.    Qualification and experience in alternative dispute resolution will be an added advantage. iii.    Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity.

 

ADHOC Member Political Parties Disputes Tribunal– (Advocate)

Constitutional and Statutory Requirements for Appointment:

  • Pursuant to Section 39A (1)(a) of the Political Parties Act, No.11 of 2011, a person to be appointed as an Adhoc Member of the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal -advocate must possess the following qualifications. i.    Hold a Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized university. ii.    Have a post-graduate Diploma in law from Kenya School of Law or from a recognized institution. iii.    Have at least seven (7) years of post-admission experience. iv.    Must not be a public officer or holds office in a political party. v.    Qualification and experience in alternative dispute resolution will be an added advantage. vi.    Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity.

 

ADHOC Member Political Parties Disputes Tribunal– (Non-advocate)

Constitutional and Statutory Requirements for Appointment:

  • Pursuant to Section 39A (1)(b) of the Political Parties Act, No.11 of 2011, a person to be appointed as an Adhoc Member of the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal- Non- Advocate must possess the following qualifications. i.    Hold a Bachelor of degree in any of the following disciplines governance, administrative, social, political, economic from a recognized university or equivalent qualifications. ii.    Demonstrate proven experience and a strong track record in governance, administration, and social, political, or economic affairs. iii.    Must not be a public officer or holds office in a political party. iv.    Qualification and experience in alternative dispute resolution will be an added advantage. v.    Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity.
