Job Description

Kenya Commercial Bank Limited is registered as a non-operating holding company which started operations as a licensed banking institution with effect from January 1, 2016. The holding company oversees KCB Kenya – incorporated with effect from January 1, 2016 – and all KCB’s regional units in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia and South Sudan.

Senior Legal Counsel- Commercial

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation and management of contracts including leases and other general commercial law issues.
  • Contract Management: drive contract lifecycle from drafting through completion of negotiation process, review and contract execution.
  • Product gate process management including participation of tender opening activities, supplier evaluation and business project initiatives.
  • Support in contract negotiation and collaborate with business teams on developing effective relationships with contractors and vendors
  • Legal opinions and research: opinions/guidance in respect of commercial contracts being negotiated and signed as well as legal and commercial requirements of all product implementation.
  • Legal awareness training as appropriate on commercial legal issues
  • Probate Administration: oversee administration of probate accounts.
  • Data management and reporting on statistics

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

The preferred candidate will meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized university.
  • Hold a Post graduate diploma in law and advocate of the High Court
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years’ relevant post admission work experience, including experience in the following specific areas:
    • Legal drafting
    • Legal communication and advocacy
    • Legal risk management

 

Senior Manager Property & Facilities Management

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: MUST NOT BE MORE THAN 10

  • Coordination of the outsourced facilities and property services, facilities projects, power systems and transport services.
  • Coordinating the management of KCB properties (owned buildings & leased) through the outsourced partners.
  • Coordinate the Budget preparation, management and tracking of costs relating to facilities on behalf of business units’ support.
  • Supports acquisition of banking/office space and management of landlord relationships.
  • Space planning within the bank and ensure that the Bank owned, and leased properties are safe and secure to the occupants through regular inspections.
  • Subsidiary support services on facilities related matters.
  • Provide support for the facilities related Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and to Business Continuity Management (BCM).
  • Performance management of the facilities team.
  • Development of unit strategies on cost optimization, revenue maximization and tax matters
  • Review and approve MIS reports on a routine and ad-hoc basis for the outsourced services for decision making, take corrective action on recommendations on MIS and escalate appropriately.

  • Supervision, execution, and administration of Service level Agreements in relation to outsourced facilities and property services, facilities projects, power systems and transport services.
  • Direct and co-ordinate outsourced facilities and property services, facilities projects, power systems and transport services.
  • Monitoring Capex and Opex budgets
  • Stakeholder engagement and feedback resolutions.
  • Monitoring and performance management of staff within facilities and property function.

Equipment Analyst- Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: MUST NOT BE MORE THAN 10

  • Technical support on Fire Equipment and alarms, Physical Security Equipment, Money Processing Equipment, lifts, Furniture and Air Conditioning related issues and ensure they are attended to promptly.
  • Develop technical and statement of work specifications for building and equipment maintenance services and Annual Maintenance Contracts; participate in the evaluation/selection of bidders responding to RFIs, RFPs, or other contract bidding processes as needed.
  • Support in scoping, provision and implementation of technical requirements for Energy Solutions and Energy Management Programs. Manage the maintenance of Energy Installations in the bank to ensure optimal and safe operation.
  • Analyzing quotations recommendations from branches and recommending award.
  • Review facilities management contractor invoices and recommend for payment.  and formulate reporting procedures for monthly expenses.
  • Ensure that established procedures for all fire, life safety and security programs are followed for periodic inspections and staff emergency drills.
  • Develop an Asset Management program for furniture, equipment and fixtures for the head office and branches.
  • Develop an effective repairs and maintenance program and guide branches accordingly.
  • Review design drawings, specifications and other documents to ensure alignment with Scope of Work, Bank Standards, finishing standards and compliance with fire, life and safety codes.
  • To maintain systematic documentation of contract administration, operations and cost records to facilitate periodic contract audits by Bank internal auditors and effective TAT with optimization of cost.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES: NOT MORE THAN 5 OF THE MOST TYPICAL

  • Attend to all emergency and non-emergency calls from Head office/branches pertaining to facilities issues.
  • Verify that all the invoices from the equipment repairs and maintenance services providers meet the contractual terms and initiate internal approval request for timely payments.
  • Coordinate supply, installation, maintenance and repairs of furniture, ACs, money processing, physical security, Lifts and Fire Fighting Equipment as per request from business units and recommendation.
  • Analyzing tender documents from procurement.
  • Reviewing job cards and cost data of all repair and maintenance of equipment and recommending necessary action.

Manager, Operations Audit

Job Description

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to inform the development of the annual internal audit plan, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and emerging risks.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of operations and processes, ensuring compliance with KCB Group policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and report on significant risk exposures, contributing to the continuous improvement of the organization’s risk management and internal control systems.
