Job Description
Kenya Commercial Bank Limited is registered as a non-operating holding company which started operations as a licensed banking institution with effect from January 1, 2016. The holding company oversees KCB Kenya – incorporated with effect from January 1, 2016 – and all KCB’s regional units in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia and South Sudan.
Legal Counsel, Risk & Compliance
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review legislation, proposed bills, judicial decisions, best practice and market trends which have an impact on the Bank and advise/recommend changes to Bank policies and procedures.
- Analyze compliance requirements of existing, new and/or revised laws and regulations. Provide support in ensuring that the Bank complies with all applicable laws and regulations. Provide advice in relation to compliance matters as contained in the legislation.
- Conduct internal legal compliance audits and examinations to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Liaise with relevant business where legal risks have been identified, to develop mitigating measures and implement remedial action.
- Update legal compliance checklists and matrixes used for undertaking legal compliance reviews in line with legislation.
- Provide legal support in research, drafting and review of Bank policies, product terms and conditions.
- Power of Attorney (PA) Management: Preparation, registration, revocation and maintain data/information of the KCB Kenya PAs.
- Court Orders: Verification of Court Orders and legal guidance on implementation and execution of the same.
- Maintain and procure the department’s reference materials. Subscribe for Kenya Gazette, Legal Notices and Bills. Ensure that the Bank’s Laws of Kenya sets are updated regularly
- Any other duties assigned
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B)
- Diploma in Law.
- Advocate of the High Court.
- At least 4 years’ post admission work experience, including experience in legal drafting, corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution and legal risk management.
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Relationship Manager, Sahl Banking – Kipande House
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing and leading customer relations, both corporate and Retail.
- Shari’ah compliant product sales and other cross sales of other basket products as per targets
- Liaison with Relationship teams and Retail Branch network to grow the business
- Risk Management to mitigate losses e.g. Frauds and revenue leakages.
- Training and development of branch staff
- Proper Documentation and administrations of Shari’ah compliant portfolios,
- Managing PAR as per set targets.
- Responsible for leadership, management, growth and maintenance of the SAHL book
- Maintain and grow the existing SAHL customers through enhanced relationships
- Achieve the set targets in terms of numbers and values for both liabilities and assets
- Monitor and manage SAHL customer complaints, constantly review service delivery standards and position staff in a way, which ensures maintenance of the highest service standards
Experience:

Product Manager, Wealth and Investments
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering to launch and iteration for new and existing wealth and investment products.
- Drive growth and performance of the bank’s wealth and investment products through customer acquisition, driving usage and retention.
- Perform financial and business risk analysis for new and existing products and partners.
- Identify opportunities for product enhancements, new features, and innovative solutions to meet customer needs and drive engagement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including technology, marketing, and finance teams, to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Analyze customer behavior, preferences, and feedback to refine and optimize product offerings for increased customer retention.
- Work closely with marketing teams to develop campaigns and promotions that attract and retain customers.
- Utilize data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess the success of wealth and investment products initiatives.

Relationship Manager, Mandera Branch
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow the existing SME Banking/ & Personal Banking customers through enhanced Relationship Management.
- Achieve the set growth targets in terms of numbers and values for both SME/ & Personal Banking Liabilities and Assets.
- Grow and Maintain the Biashara Club Portfolio and grow the revenue line
- Offer superior relationship management to SME & Personal Banking Customers to achieve agreed service levels.
- Prepare SME lending business credit proposals to prudently achieve agreed business targets and facilitate timely draw down of approved facilities.
- Manage and monitor the SME / & Personal Banking Asset designated portfolio at the domicile branch for enhanced quality book.

The Person

Senior Manager, Digital Payments
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define the bank’s digital payments, wealth and investments product portfolio strategy ensuring alignment to the division and the bank’s overall strategy to deliver set KPIs and seek peer and senior management alignment.
- Develop commercial models that directly impact top-line revenue and bottom-line operating costs while delivering best in class product experiences across our channels
- Coordinate the implementation of activities across assigned products in partnership with marketing and customer experience to drive customer engagement to grow NPS & reduce CES, grow product as per set KPIs
- Daily drive of the assigned digital payments, wealth and investments portfolio performance in partnership with other divisions to ensure customer uptake, usage of the products, reduction in attrition & churn and effective recovery of customers as well as consideration of regulatory requirements.
- Launch and scale payment features across mobile apps, wallets, and embedded platforms, ensuring seamless, secure and intuitive payment journeys with high adoption.
