Job Description

Keda Ceramics International Limited is a manufacturing company of ceramics tiles and sanitary ware located in Miwani, Kisumu County and sitting on 150 acres with its headquarters in Guangzhou, China.

Geological and Mineral Technician

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducting geological surveys for Raw Materials and sampling while ensuring the Raw Materials meet the required standards.
  • Testing the quality of the Raw Materials and preparing reports after testing.
  • Maintaining present mineral suppliers working relationship, encouraging them to provide more new samples.
  • Searching for new mining sites for Raw Materials.
  • Guiding mining operators or mineral suppliers for any quality standard.
  • Any other duties assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Geology, Mining or relevant to the position with knowledge in exploration geology or mining geology.
  • More than 2 years of work experience in a similar role.

KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Good communication and decision-making skills.
  • Good in written English and Fluent oral English.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Team player.
  • Flexible work hours (Monday-Saturday).
  • Self-motivated and can work under minimum supervision.

 

Issuing Officer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receiving and issuing goods in the finish goods warehouse.
  • Coordinate with go down clerks, loaders and forklift operator and ensure trucks will be loaded on time.
  • Ensure the right quality and quality material is loaded in the truck(s). Monitor the SAP code, color code, truck number are matching as per the waybills or delivery notes. d) Give proper guidance to truck drivers, loaders and forklift operators and ensure loading operations are done smoothly.
  • Coordinating with the go down clerks to transfer the materials from receiving area to the go down on time.
  • Any other duties assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma/Degree in purchasing and supply chain management or relevant to the position with more than 2 years work experience in a busy warehouse/store.
  • Preferably a manufacturing company.

Excavator Operator-Jack Hammer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operating the excavator. Breaking and drilling large stones for the silo.
  • Guide the feeding truck to unload in the designated warehouse, specify the location, and carefully fill in the receipt and incoming records
  • Daily excavator inspection, maintenance and ensuring that the excavator is operating normally.
  • Adhere and pay attention to safety production guidelines and procedures while operating the excavator.
  • Any other duties assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certificate in plant operation with a valid driving license in class G is a must.
  • More than 2 years of experience as an excavator operator specifically a hydraulic jack hammer/crawler excavator.

KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical knowledge of maintenance and safety procedures of operating an excavator.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Team player
  • Self-motivated and can work under minimum supervision.

 

Graduate Trainee

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring the safety of funds (cash, cheques).
  • Pay imports duty and expenses accurate and on time.
  • Pay salary, NSSF, NHIF, casual wages on time and pay raw materials and coal accurately on time.
  • Pay other payments on time and accurately.
  • Prepare accurately daily cash statistics.
  • Reconcile regularly with bank payments and receipts.
  • Share bank slips and bank statements on time.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Head of Department.

EDUCATION AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in finance or accounting with minimum of CPA PART 2, SECTION 4 or ACCA 1 Intermediate SECTION
  • Completed school mandatory attachment.

KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills and good analytical skills.
  • Good decision-making skills.
  • High level of integrity/unquestionable integrity.
  • Proficient in word, excel, powerpoint and analysis application.
  • A team player. Self-motivated and can work under minimum supervision. Fast learner and willing to learn. Trainable.
  • Flexible work schedule (Monday to Saturday)
