Fleet Analyst

Brief Description        

  • To conduct an in-depth market research and competition analysis of entry into service and disposal of aircraft into or out of Kenya Airways fleet. This will includecross-functional analysis of requisite infrastructure, business processes and training needs to ensure the organization is ready and prepared for the entry into service of KQ aircraft. The incumbent will also conduct market analysis and industry benchmark to determine the best disposal strategy for KQ aircraft by lease return, sale or conversion to freighter as appropriate.

Detailed Description        

  • Support the section manager with Technical and financial analysis of identified aircraft types for acquisition business case.
  • Liaise with fleet stakeholders and partners (such as respective engine manufacturer, aircraft lessor´s and suppliers).
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team of full time as well as part time project/task managers seconded from other KQ sections.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the respective project/task managers on project benefits. The programme includes: Collection of Identified aircraft specifications and configuration data,
  • Analysis of the Initial Provisioning and storage of aircraft spares, tools and equipment required for operations of the identified aircraft with Technical and Ground Services departments,
  • Recommendation on the required training for pilots, engineers and cabin crew,
  • Evaluation, review and improving existing inspection and acceptance procedures of each aircraft at the manufacturer’s facility or at designated maintenance organization until when aircraft enters into service,
  • Examining compliance of the new aircraft to Kenya Civil Aviation Regulations (KCARS).
  •  Analyze project changes, risks and issues; resolve or recommend appropriate action to the respective Fleet Managers.
  • Ensure accurate project reports on Projects implemented are kept according to Fleet development requirements
  • Conduct market analysis and industry benchmark for other long-term engineering projects like cabin refurbishments and densification.

Job Requirements        

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical or business-related field from a recognized university.
  • Participation and successful completion of the Kenya Airways Graduate Engineering Trainee program will be an added advantage
  • Project Management, data analysis or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Experience – 2 years in the aviation field or gained through the KQ graduate trainee program.
  • Preferably Knowledge of Kenya Airways Organizational Functions (added advantage)
  • Demonstrable competency and experience in the management of projects and project communication, analytical and critical thinking

 

Assistant Security Agent – Operations

Brief Description        

  • Protect the aircraft, passengers, baggage, cargo and company property against acts of unlawful interference including terrorism, sabotage, drug trafficking and theft.

Detailed Description        

  • Prevent unauthorized people and vehicles from accessing the aircraft, its environs and restricted and controlled KQ premises.
  • Prevent unauthorized and unsterilized items from being loaded or carried in the aircraft holds and cabin.
  • Provide security of staff, passengers against harassment while on duty and security of cargo, mail & courier during loading and offloading from aircraft to warehouse.
  • Conduct searches on staff to ensure security of passenger baggage, courier, mail, cargo and in-flight materials before and after handling.
  • Safely handle and secure lost and found property until reunited with rightful owners to enhance customer confidence
  • Maintain access control of KQ premises to ensure security of vital installations.
  • Ensure that contracted security adhere to Service Level Agreements and company security standards at all times.
  • Gather and relay information on aviation security, pilferage/theft of baggage, in-flightstores, cargo interference; weight cheating, INAD activities, fraudulent tickets and drug trafficking to ensure revenue integrity and no unlawful interference to company operations.
  • Enforce company code of ethics to ensure strict compliance by all employees
  • Screening of cargo, mail and couriers for Aviation Security prohibited and dangerous items and contrabands

Job Requirements        

  • Diploma orCertificate from a recognized Institution
  • Certificatein a Security Related Field will be an added advantage.
  • At leasttwo (2) years of relevant security experience will be desirable.
  • Training in Basic Aviation Security, Dangerous Goods Regulations and Safety Management Systems and any aviation related Training will be an added advantage

Security Officer – JKIA Operations

Brief Description        

  • Fully implement and enforce security systems and procedures to ensure safe and secure environment for business operations at JKIA and off airport locations.

Detailed Description        

  • Proactively manage and control security operations at JKIA to ensure security of arrival and departure of KQ and Customer flight.
  • Implement security deployment plan at JKIA to ensure secure coverage of all critical area based on the emerging trends
  • Provide necessary tools and create a conducive environment to ensure safe and secure handling and transportation/carriage of security items on KQ and customer flights.
  • Analyze theft, pilferage and loss of baggage trends and develop security counter measures to ensure security of company, customer and staff property.
  • Collect and disseminate intelligence information to ensure prevention and detection of crimes
  • Coordinate with contracted security service providers at the airport and off airport sites for effective coverage to ensure protection of property not directly under KQ security’s watch.
  • Review and operate efficient shift system with adequate staff rest to ensure a motivated and alert team.
  • Consistently discuss with security operational staff, review their performance to create conducive working environment.
  • Provide on job training to KQ security staff and contracted security to ensure that they meet the KQ standards
  • Ensure that all staff attend mandatory training when due as per the security training matrix.
  • Liaise with other security agencies at JKIA to ensure quick resolutions to any issues affecting KQ operations.
  • Liaise with other KQ business departments undertaking security functions to ensure secure operations.
  • Guide, advice and direct the operational staff in the course of their operations to ensure that they are complying with regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively conduct self-tests, inspections and surveys to ensure that security operations comply with Company security programme.
  • In consultation with Manager Airport Security Operations, develop standard operating procedures for security staff at JKIA and ensure its full implementation.

Job Requirements        

  • University degree or relevant professional qualification
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in Aviation Security and Three (3) of it Must be a Security Team Leader
  • Aviation Security Supervisors course
  • Certified Aviation Security Screener
  • Basic Investigation Course
  • Threat and Risk Assessment Training will be an added advantage
  • Aviation Security Training Instructor Course will be an added advantage

Security Team Leader Cargo – Mombasa

Brief Description        

  • Responsible for ensuring day to day running of security shifts at Cargo to drive cargo security operations in order to ensure KQ freighters, customer aircraft, cargo, courier and mail and other KQ assets are protected against acts of unlawful interference.

Detailed Description        

  • Gatherand disseminate intelligence on all acts of unlawful interference and crimes, in order to prevent, detect and apprehend the perpetrators.
  • Briefing, supervision for allocation of tasks and responsibilities for cargo operational performance
  • Oversee and supervise third party security services for overall safety and security of staff, customer and equipment at cargo terminal
  • In liaison with Terminal Duty Controllers to ensure cargo, courier and mail reconciliation processes are consistently done for optimal flight safety and security
  • Ensure efficient handling of lost and found items of customers /clients and tenants
  • Oversee processes and procedures for transfer, cargo, mail and courier to eliminate losses
  • Protect company revenue through but not limited to collection of unpaid cargo excess weight, strong room charges
  • Accurately compile and update data on all crimes committed on cargo, courier and mails
  • Ensure staff attendance to all staff trainings and meetings in advancement of security agenda
  • Consistently implement anti-pilferage measures on cargo, courier and mail in response to any emerging trend
  • In liaison with related process owners ensure nil cargo aircrafts security violation at all times, proper handling of found cargo, Violated cargo.

Team Leader Jkia – Rapid Response Operations

Brief Description        

  • Ensure security & safety of KQ customers, staff and property to eliminate exposure to liability.

Detailed Description        

  • Deploy and supervise safe and secure handling of valuables. Provide support in deployment and supervision in the handling of sensitive assignments and consignments.
  • Deploy and coordinate on-scenepreliminary investigations in conjunction with duty supervisors, and secure exhibits for subsequent procedures.
  • Deploy and supervise predictive passenger and staff screening.
  • Ensure random weight checks on baggage and cargo and keep data of the same to ensure safety and revenue integrity.
  • Supervise simulation tests and prepare post simulation report.
  • Ensure compliance to stipulated security measures during heightened security threats.
  • Deploy and supervise all escort duties, including baggage/ cargo escort.
  • Coordinate joint security operations with other stakeholders. Support joint security operations with other stakeholders to ensure nil unlawful interference to KQ/customer airline operations.
  • Deploy and implement random check sand search for aviation security service providers and other staff on duty.
  •  Monitor compliance to regulatory and standard operating security requirements by other functions on delegated security roles.
  • Ensure prompt handling of firearms/incendiaries and ensure reconciliation of revenue collected.
  • Deploy mobile patrols and ensure prompt response to security and safety emergencies accordingly.
  • Gather and disseminate intelligence on aviation security operations to include: -pilferage/theft, INAD activities, illegal facilitation, weight cheating, and incidents affecting Airline’s revenue integrity.

Job Requirements        

  • Degree or Diploma from a recognized institution
  • At least Three (3) years’ of relevant experience Two (2) years as a Security Agent.
  • Proven integrity and confidentiality record
  •  IT/Computer Proficiency.
  • Knowledge of criminal procedure code, evidence Act and Penal Code of the state.
  • Valid driving license with 3 years ‘experience.

Provident Fund Officer

Brief Description        

  • Promote a professional high quality frontline customer centric service by resolving member queries and member issues raised

Detailed Description        

  • Implement member relations strategies and policies to enhance member loyalty and best member practices
  • Attend to member complaints, expedite corrections, and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Maintain proper partner relations by managing member records and directory of members ’contact details, handle member accounts and provide guidance on enhancing member relationships
  • Formulate programs for retaining member loyalty by establishing rapport with members

  • CPA Part 2
  • A minimum of Three (3) years’ experience in pension industry setting

  • Demonstrable ability to multitask.
