Job Description

The Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) was established in 1961 and was named as the then Voice of Kenya Training School. Its main purpose was to train electronic engineering and technicians for the then, Kenya Broadcasting Service (KBS), that was later rebranded in 1962 as the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC). KBC was then nationalized in 1964

Cooks – 6 Posts

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to the position, you must have the following;

  • Certificate or Diploma in Food and Beverage Production
  • KCSE Certificate D+ (Plus) Minimum
  • Valid Food Handlers Certificates

Gardeners – 2 Posts

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to the position, you must have the following;

  • KCSE Certificate minimum D Plain
  • Valid Food Handlers Certificates

Housekeepers – 2 Posts

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to the position, you must have the following;

  • KCSE Certificate D+(Plus) Minimum

  • Government Trade Test Certificate Grade III/II/I in the area of specialization (Carpentry) or Certificate or Diploma in Trade Test accreditation
  • KCSE D- (minus)

Welder

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to the position, you must have the following;

  • Government Trade Test Certificate Grade III/I/I in the area of specialization (Welding) Certificate or Diploma in Trade Test accreditation
  • KCSE D- (minus)

 

Electrician

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to the position, you must have the following;

  • Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • KCSE D- (minus)

 

Plumber

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to the position, you must have the following;

  • Government Trade Test Certificate Grade II/II/I in the  area of specialization (Plumbing) Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering & Trade Test accreditation
  • KCSE D- (minus)

 

Secretaries – 3 Posts

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to the position, you must have the following;

  • Craft Certificate or Diploma in Secretarial Studies
  • KCSE Certificate or Equivalent
