Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a State Corporation established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979, which has since been amended to Science, Technology and Innovation Act 2013. The 1979 Act established KEMRI as a National body responsible for carrying out health research in Kenya.

Logistics/Administration Intern Kisumu

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist participants, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.

Research Assistant – Kajiado County – 4 Posts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with colleagues and study coordinator to deliver research activities.
  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data from a variety of sources.
  • Assist with data quality checks and data management.
  • Prepare individual work progress reports.
  • Comply with policies on ethical conduct of research and human subjects’ protection.
  • Carry out any other duties commensurate with experience, which may be assigned from time to time.

Vacancy Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Applied Sciences, Public Health, Social Science, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.    Mandatory

Study Coordinator – Kajiado

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with study investigators to plan and deliver the research work.
  • Prepare study materials including training materials and standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare work plans aligned to project deliverables.
  • Co-ordinate and oversee data collection and management including data quality checks, storage and archiving.
  • Supervise research assistants attached to the Project.
  • Co-ordinate adherence to funder’s technical and financial requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with policies on ethical conduct of research and human subjects protections.
  • Carry out any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
