Nursing Officer, Endoscopy (Mobile Clinic), (2 Positions)- Kisii
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate and manage the mobile endoscopy clinic, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Perform endoscopic procedures such as upper gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy, including preparation, execution, and post-procedure care.
- Maintain and sterilize endoscopy equipment according to established guidelines.
- Monitor patients’ conditions during and after procedures, providing necessary medical interventions as needed.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful implementation of mobile clinic activities across five counties (Kisii, Meru, Kiambu, Nakuru, and Nyeri).
- Train and educate patients and caregivers on procedures and post-care guidelines.
- Record and maintain accurate patient data for research and reporting purposes.
- Support research activities aligned with the research project objectives.
- Any other duty as may be assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Certification or specialized training in endoscopy is a distinct advantage.
- At least two (2) years of nursing experience, that includes working with endoscopic equipment.
- Proven ability to work effectively in dynamic environments, particularly in mobile clinics or rural health setups.
- Flexibility to travel and work in various counties.
- Fulfillment of Chapter Six requirements of the Constitution of Kenya (2010).
