Job Description

Well, our journey begun back in 1999 when Kinangop Dairy Ltd was established and incorporated as Mkulima Creameries Ltd. Our aim was buying, processing, packaging and distributing dairy products using milk produced from the milk-rich catchment areas of Kinangop.

Direct Salesperson Intern/Trainee– Coastal Region

We are looking for a motivated and target-driven Sales Person/Salesman to promote and sell our products in the designated regions. The ideal candidate will work on an assigned route, interact with customers to generate sales, provide excellent customer service, and ensure smooth delivery of products. This position requires an energetic and goal-oriented individual with a strong passion for sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit customers daily on an assigned route and provide information about new products and services.
  • Ensure orders are processed and delivered on time according to company standards.
  • Achieve set sales targets and contribute to company profitability.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Monitor and report on market trends, competition, and pricing.
  • Accurately handle and document customer orders, payments, and receipts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and ensure proper use of company vehicles and assets.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports and updates as required.
  • Represent the company’s brand and values in all interactions with clients.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:

  • Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 year of experience in direct sales or marketing, preferably in the FMCG sector or Dairy Industry will be a plus.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets.

Merchandiser – Coastal Region

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that stores, and shelves are stocked with the right types and quantities of products.
  • Display, arrange, price, and rotate products in store using LIFO.
  • Maintain store shelves by removing dated or damaged products.
  • Monitor store inventory based on sales and intake.
  • Optimize sales volume and profitability by identifying profitable lines and bestsellers.
  • Make recommendations for promotional strategies using sales and pricing data.
  • Collaboration with outlet management and company to ensure all promotions, giveaways or marketing activities are executed properly and timely.
  • Educating and introducing new products to buyers and outlet.
  • Gathering information and communicating on market trends, competitor’s activities and customer reactions/feedback to KDL brands.
  • Basic analysis on sales figures, report on growth ideas, expansion and market shift for timely decision.
  • Work and communicate with buyers and stores staff.
  • Negotiating orders from the stores staff to achieve set targets.
  • Handling supply or production challenges as they arise in allocated outlets.
  • Assessing brands performance of different SKUs and recommending action to supervisors.
  • Following all set SOPs and KPIs under the role.
  • Fill in daily worksheet and location.
  • Any other role that may be assigned by the company.

Highly developed communication, selling, presentation and interpersonal skills) Ability work with fast-paced team environment.
