Regional Direct Business – Sales Executives – Meru

Role Overview

We are seeking results-driven Sales Executives to drive commercial advertising revenue across our Radio and TV platforms within the Direct Business portfolio. The role focuses on acquiring new clients, managing existing relationships, and delivering impactful advertising solutions that meet client objectives and drive revenue growth in the above regions.

Their key responsibilities include:

Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities to grow advertising revenue in the above regions.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, target sectors, and client needs
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Build and maintain a strong and sustainable sales pipeline

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing clients in their respective region.
  • Understand client objectives and recommend effective advertising solutions
  • Develop customized, insight-led campaigns aligned to client goals and budgets
  • Monitor campaign performance and respond promptly to client feedback

Revenue Growth

  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across platforms
  • Maximize revenue from both new and existing accounts

Collaboration

  • Work closely with creative, media planning, and account management teams to deliver high-quality campaigns
  • Stay up to date with advertising trends, media innovations, and emerging technologies

Regional Expertise

  • Must be based in the region of application
  • Must demonstrate a deep understanding of the local market, economy, and consumer behavior

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in advertising sales, preferably in Radio and TV
  • Proven track record in direct business development and revenue generation
  • Strong understanding of media planning and digital marketing
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Self-driven, analytical, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

You’ll work with our editorial and digital teams to source, write, and edit stories that inform, inspire, and captivate our audiences across multiple platforms.

Their key responsibilities include:

  • Research, pitch, and write original stories for print and digital platforms.
  • Identify trending topics and craft timely, engaging content around them.
  • Edit and proofread stories to ensure clarity, factual accuracy, and adherence to brand tone.
  • Collaborate with editors, photographers, and digital producers to bring stories to life.
  • Repackage content for online and social media audiences.
