Job Description

Mwananchi Credit Limited was incorporated as a private limited company under the Companies Act (Cap 486) of the Laws of Kenya. It initially started operations under the names Mwananchi Microlink Ltd which was incorporated on 15th April 2010. On 10th January 2012, it later changed its names to Mwananchi Credit Limited.

Collection & Recovery Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee debt recovery processes, including negotiations, restructures, and legal recoveries.
  • Track portfolio performance and recommend corrective actions to improve portfolio quality.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and debt collection guidelines.
  • Prepare and present collections and recovery performance reports to management.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in managing loan recoveries and reducing portfolio at risk (PAR).
  • Strong understanding of collections processes, credit risk, and recovery strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional qualifications in Credit Management or Debt Recovery will be an added advantage.

 

Product Manager Logbook

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of credit risk, collections, and portfolio management.
  • Experience in product development and performance management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications in Product Management, Banking, Finance, or Project Management are an added advantage.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow the Logbook. Loan portfolio and achieve business targets.
  • Manage the product lifecycle, including product design, pricing, enhancements, and market positioning.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, loan disbursements, revenue, profitability, and portfolio quality.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.

HR Generalists

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare HR reports and maintain HR metrics related to recruitment, turnover, attendance, and employee performance.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and support HR audits.
  • Participate in organizational development and change management initiatives.
  • Support the implementation and utilization of HR systems and processes.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional HR qualification (CHRP, IHRM, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office applications.

Company Driver

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure vehicle licenses, insurance, and other statutory requirements are always valid.
  • Support administrative and logistical duties as assigned.
  • Report accidents, incidents, or vehicle damage immediately.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with staff, clients, and company information

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience as a PSV or professional driver.
  • Good knowledge of road networks and traffic regulations.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High level of integrity, professionalism, and reliability.
