Human Resource Officer

We are seeking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team;

JOB TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

Overall Responsibility

  • The incumbent will be responsible for managing the day-to-day human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, reference checks and selecting candidates.
  • Organize onboarding and orientation programs for new hires, ensuring they understand the facility’s policies, procedures, and culture.
  • Develop and implement performance management systems and processes.
  • Support managers in setting strategic performance goals and conducting performance appraisals.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Monitor and assess employee satisfaction, conducting surveys and focus groups as necessary.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate staff training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the employees.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, labor laws, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain and update employee records, including personal data, employment history, benefits, and leave.
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of payroll processing in collaboration with the finance department.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of HR policies and procedures to meet the needs of the Hospital.
  • Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Prepare and submit reports related to HR metrics, turnover, and other key performance indicators.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and healthcare regulations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Pharmaceutical Technologist

We are seeking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team;

JOB TITLE: PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGIST

Overall Responsibility

  • The successful candidates shall Organize medications for dispensing by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines to patients.
  • Provide correct dosage instructions and educate patients on the safe use of medicines.
  • Counsel patients on possible side effects, drug interactions, and storage of medicines.
  • Ensure rational drug use in line with treatment guidelines.
  • Receive, verify, and record incoming pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of essential medicines.
  • Prevent stock-outs, overstocking, and drug expiries through proper inventory control.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movement and generate periodic reports.
  • Ensure all pharmaceutical activities adhere to Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and confidentiality within the pharmacy.
  • Participate in pharmacovigilance by reporting adverse drug reactions and poor-quality medicines.
  • Assist in preparing orders and liaising with suppliers for replenishment of medicines.
  • Support audits, inspections, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to departmental reports, data collection, and performance reviews.

Job Qualifications & Skills 

  • A diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
  • Valid license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
  • At least 1–2 years’ experience in a clinical or supply chain setup (hospital, pharmacy, or warehouse).
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, stock management, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.

 

Optometrist

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team.

Overall Responsibility

  • To provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessment, diagnosis, management of refractive errors, and participation in preventive and promotive eye health programs, ensuring high standards of patient care and clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision, eye health, and refractive errors.
  • Prescribe and dispense corrective lenses, glasses, or contact lenses.
  • Diagnose and manage common eye conditions within the scope of practice.
  • Refer patients with complex eye conditions to ophthalmologists or specialized facilities as required.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative counseling for patients undergoing eye surgery.
  • Educate patients and the community on eye care, preventive practices, and lifestyle adjustments.
  • Participate in eye health awareness campaigns and outreach activities.
  • Ensure proper fitting, dispensing, and adjustment of spectacles and optical devices.
  • Maintain eye care equipment and ensure optimal functionality.
  • Monitor and manage optical inventory, including lenses, frames, and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including examination findings, prescriptions, and follow-ups.
  • Generate reports on eye clinic activities, service delivery, and performance indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards in optometry practice.
  • Observe infection prevention and control measures in the eye unit.

Job Qualifications & Skills 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Optometry/Optometry & Vision Sciences from a recognized institution.
  • Valid registration and practicing license from KMPDC.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an eye clinic, hospital, or optical setup.
  • Strong knowledge of refraction, visual rehabilitation, and eye disease management.
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.

 

Community Oral Health Officer (COHO)

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team.

Overall Responsibility

  • To promote oral health, prevent and manage common dental conditions, and provide clinical and community-based oral health services in line with professional standards and institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct oral examinations, diagnose common dental conditions, and provide appropriate treatment.
  • Perform basic dental procedures such as extractions, fillings, scaling, and prophylaxis.
  • Provide emergency dental care and pain management.
  • Refer complex dental and oral health cases to the Dental Officer or higher-level facilities.
  • Conduct oral health education sessions for individuals, groups, and communities.
  • Promote preventive practices such as oral hygiene, fluoride use, and dietary advice.
  • Organize and participate in community oral health outreach programs.
  • Maintain accurate patient treatment records and registers.
  • Collect and analyze data on oral health indicators for reporting and decision-making.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards as set by relevant licensing authorities.
  • Ensure proper infection prevention and control practices within the dental unit.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and institutional training.

Job Qualifications & Skills 

  • Diploma in Community Oral Health from a recognized institution.
  • Valid registration and practicing license with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a hospital or community health setting.
  • Knowledge of oral health education, preventive dentistry, and minor dental procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
