Warehouse Supervisor

 The warehouse supervisor will be responsible for supervising and strategizing warehouse operations and process improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency. The supervisor will also advocate for compliance to state rules and regulations on health and compliance,  warehouse arrangement, and fleet management.

Job Description

  • Logistics and trucks dispatching: Ensure all trucks and deliveries are correctly planned
  • Fleet Management: Assists in ensuring efficient trucks operations.
  • Coordinate material trucks ensuring they meet their expected trips on time and effectively.
  • Coordinate vehicles fueling using the company fueling card or other approved means.
  • Ensure the products produced conform to organizational expectations and customer demands.
  • Liaise with the GM and Directors to ensure all company certificates are up to date.
  • Collaborate with production managers to ensure ordinary/colored cabros production matches the quality and quantity expected to realize the set targets.
  • Liaise with productions managers to ensure correct machine repairs and regular servicing.
  • Propose sufficient measures to minimize wastages within the company.
  • Ensure general warehouse and cleanliness and arrangement.
  • Enforce compliance to health and safety standards in the warehouse.
  • Maintain safe custody of company assets such as PPEs, spare parts, car keys etc.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to warehouse operations including deliveries.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, finance, and sales to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth operations.

Job Requirements

  • BA in Administration or a related course.
  • 4-5 years’ in busy manufacturing environment.
  • Logistics and fleet management abilities and experience is a must.
  • Advanced knowledge of machinery functioning
  • Knowlege and experience in building materials is an added advantage.

Financial & Inventory Recording

  • Record and reconcile stock movements, purchases, and sales transactions in the accounting system.
  • Ensure accurate posting of inventory costs, stock adjustments, and related journal entries.
  • Support month-end and year-end stock valuation and reporting.
  • Reconcile inventory accounts with physical stock counts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Purchasing & Invoicing
  • Match purchase orders, delivery notes, and supplier invoices to ensure accuracy before processing payments.
  • Liaise with the procurement and warehouse teams to verify goods received and ensure correct pricing.

Education & Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an accounts role.
  • Proven experience in reconciling stock and financial data across departments.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting and inventory management software e.g. SAP or similar).
  • Familiarity with purchasing, stock tracking, and invoice processing workflows.
  • Experience in retail and distribution environments is a strong advantage
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meeet deadlines
