Director-Fundraising & Development
Responsibilities:
Strategy and planning:
In cooperation with the C.E.O, lead the development of any long-term strategy to achieve agreed to:
- Identify new potential income streams and produce strategies to access these funds
- Financial Planning and Budget Management :
- Produce cost-effective budgets to achieve action plans
- Develop and maintain income and expenditure tracking and evaluation systems
- Ensure the Fundraising & Development Department is kept within budget
Fundraising:
- Manage an effective fundraising team that delivers fundraising income meeting set targets
- Oversee the management of grant and trust income programme and ensuring production of effective, high quality proposals and reports.
Senior Management :
- The head of fundraising is a member of Tenwek Hospital’s senior management team and as such the post
- The holder will be expected to play a proactive role in the management of the organization, including:
- Organizational strategic planning and development
- Income and expenditure budget planning and management
- Advising members of SMT on the availability of funds and the viability of obtaining funds to support campaign initiatives
- Attending finance committee meetings to report and give advice on fundraising matters
Staff Management :
Line management of fundraising staff, including:
- Agreeing objectives and work plans
- Managing workload and performance through regular one-to-one line management discussions
- Plan and implement personal development programme for team members in all relevant skills
- Undertake annual performance reviews
- Lead the annual fundraising planning process to produce effective strategies
Job Summary:

Requirements:

Person Specification Essential Experience:
- At least three years’ experience in a similar role
- Demonstrable track record of Strategic Fundraising
- Successful, significant and relevant achievement at management level in a comparable national/international organization.
- Experience of utilizing the strength of an organization brand for charity/business development
- Proven track record of meeting challenging income targets
- Proven ability to build, manage and develop key stakeholder, client and donor relationships
- Experience of developing and implementing strategic and business plans

Professional requirement
- 10 years of experience as a senior leader overseeing fundraising in a non-profit

Consultant Urology Surgeon
Job Purpose:
- Reporting to the Director of Medical Services, this role is crucial in providing expert medical care, performing surgical procedures, and contributing to research and education in the field of urology
- Clinical Diagnosis and Treatmen-Accurately diagnose urological conditions and disorders through clinicalassessments, imaging, and other diagnostic techniques. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, which may involve surgical procedures, medical therapies, or other interventions as appropriate. Continuously monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Out-Patient Department(OPD) Service Manager
Job Summary:
- Reporting to the HR & Administration Director, the OPD Services Manager will be responsible for quick turnaround and smooth flow of OPD end-to-end services which include arrival & reception; registration; queue management; waiting room; triage; consultation with clinical team; any diagnostic and auxiliary services; pharmacy services to payment and discharge from Tenwek Hospital.
- The position will also oversee the administrative functions of OPD in main Hospital and in outstations – Bomet Annex, Kaboson and Ngiito ensuring adequate staffing, timely attendance and high performance in the department. The Manager monitors patient volumes, quality of care, and and performance of staff to identify areas for improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
- Spearhead the development and implementation of the Hospital service charter for various OPD services to ensure patient-centered care.
- Regularly monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), recommending strategies for improvement in performance, productivity, and profitability.
- Oversee the administrative operations of the OPD, ensuring efficient workflow and alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage patient volumes and streamline service delivery processes to improve turnaround times and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with section in-charges to optimize scheduling and caseload management.

Requirements:
Required Qualifications & Experience.
- A combination of experience, education, and/or training which substantially demonstrates the following knowledge and skills, and the ability to perform a range of duties similar to those listed above.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Systems Management, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- 5 years’ experience in health care management with supervisory experience

Duties & Responsibilities.
Preoperative Care
- Assess and prepare patients for surgery, including obtaining consent and explaining procedures.
