The position oversees institutional quality management systems, academic program reviews, accreditation processes, and compliance with regulatory standards governing higher education institutions, supporting continuous institutional improvement by promoting quality culture and strengthening academic standards

Qualifications Academic Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Education, Quality Assurance, Business Administration, or a related discipline (Bachelor’s in Education, Quality Management, Business Administration, or Public Administration or related discipline).

Professional Qualifications / Membership

• Professional certification in Quality Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, or Institutional Quality Assurance is an added advantage.

Relevant Work Experience

• 4 years’ relevant experience in quality assurance, academic administration, monitoring and evaluation, or institutional governance, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Job Purpose

The Director of Open, Distance and e-Learning (ODeL) shall provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership in the development, coordination, delivery, and quality assurance of open, distance, and e-learning programmes. The position is responsible for expanding access to quality education through innovative digital learning models in line with the University’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives.

Qualifications Academic Qualifications:

• Earned Master’s in Education, Educational Technology, Instructional
• Design, or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

Professional Experience:

• At least 4 years of teaching, research, or academic administration experience in higher education.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in open, distance, or elearning programme management.
• Proven experience in curriculum development, quality assurance, and digital learning systems.
• Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership, strategic planning, and change management skills.
• Demonstrated expertise in e-learning technologies and instructional design.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
• Strong financial, project management, and analytical skills.

Job Purpose

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supervising accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial recording, reporting, and compliance with institutional financial policies and accounting standards. The position supports the Chief Accountant in overseeing financial accounting processes, maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring effective internal financial controls. The role contributes to sound financial management by ensuring timely reconciliation of accounts, compliance with statutory requirements, and accurate reporting of financial transactions.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;

• Certified Public Accountant (Part II and above); membership with a relevant professional body is an added advantage.

• The Administrative Assistant, Department provides efficient administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the Department and effective support to staff and students.

Key Responsibilities / Duties / Tasks

• Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Department.
• Manage correspondence, records, filing systems, and data entry.
• Schedule meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and coordinate departmental activities.
• Support coordination of online teaching, examinations, and student-related activities.
• Assist in preparation of reports, budgets, and procurement documents.
• Respond to inquiries from staff and students and provide frontline support.
• Maintain inventory of office equipment and learning resources.
• Ensure confidentiality and proper record management.
