IT/Digital Control Officer

JOB OBJECTIVE(S)

  • To ensure early detection and prevention of security risks and vulnerabilities within critical IT Resources in the Bank.
  • To provide Control Counseling, Advisory and Decision Support Service including risk based performance management on emerging threats to the activities in the Bank.
  • To create and improve homogenous Information Security Culture in all functions that aligns with the Bank’s Control and business objectives.
  • To foster Regulatory Compliance of IT Infrastructures and adaptability of global best practices without undue exposure to all known vulnerabilities Strong relationship building

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure Policy/Procedure/Regulatory Compliance
  • Build strong KYC compliance environment in ICT, Business Software Support, E Business and Channels Support functions.
  • Ensure strict compliance with the Bank’s logical access controls and Information Security policies in the day to day activities of all Users in the Bank.
  • Ensure that all outsourced IT User functions are properly executed in line with Service Level agreements and the Bank’s Information Security policies.
  • Ensure that Users of all critical and vital applications in the Bank are effectively reviewed and monitored.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of all open issues in the Audit Report, Management letter, Regulatory Examiners Report and other Statutory Examiners Report relating to IT and systems.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments covering the design, implementation and operation of all the Bank’s E-Channels products to ensure that all key risks are identified/assessed and appropriate controls recommended and implemented.
  • Perform periodic technical security assessments of all E-Channels products platforms, applications and databases
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new E-Channels, Collection platforms and enhancements to existing products.
  • Review of all Automated Income lines as may be assigned by Head Revenue Assurance.
  • Ensure prompt and qualitative rendition of relevant Assessment and Compliance reports to the Country Head, Internal Control including the Monthly Reports and Ad-hoc.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Zero Tolerance for Operational/Fraud Loss.
  • Quantum of undetected regulatory/statutory infractions.
  • Quantum of undetected internal policy and procedure infractions.
  • Quality and Timeliness of losses and loss events reporting in processing areas
  • Magnitude of IT related Regulatory sanctions.
  • Audit rating of Logical Access Controls and IS Quality Assurance.
  • Integrity of the logical access database.
  • Promptness, Accuracy and Validity of Exception Reporting/Rendition of all Activity reports
  • Exceptions observed in peer review, control adequacy checks and other Information Security & Quality Assurance checks administered on the unit.
  • Gaps between the prescribed TAT and actual service delivery period.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Minimum of First Degree or equivalent in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or Cyber Security be.
  • Certification: Added advantage in any related certifications such as CISA, CISM, CPA, CISSP, CRISC, ISO 27001, CISCO, ITIL, PCI DSS
  • Experience: One to two (1-2) years cognate experience.

Branch Manager

Roles & Responsibilities
Business Growth

  • Entrench growth by market dominance and market share multiplication
  • Ensure that the overall budget of the Business Office is met and surpassed
  • Keep up to date with business environment information with the objective of identifying business opportunities and maximizing them
  • Network with all potential clients in all relevant categories of own locality

Profitability Management

  • Overall owner of the P&L of the branch and hence managing resources optimally, both human and material to achieving sustainable profitability

Job Requirements

  • First degree in any field from a recognized university.
  • Preferably have a second degree or relevant professional certification (as an added advantage).
  • Excellent banking knowledge with Five (5) years of primary banking experience in sales or operations and at least 2 years secondary banking experience in retail/commercial banking or branch operations. with a leading industry player.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

JOB OBJECTIVE:

Chief Risk Officer

JOB OBJECTIVE(S)

  • To development policies and programmes for the identification, assessment, controlling, monitoring and reporting of operational and market risk inherent in products, processes, systems, policies and external events.
  • To build strong risk management environment by providing advisory, decision support services to business units & strategic resources functions and develop a framework to constantly update the bank on its risk level with regulatory/banking laws.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, cascade and monitor the implementation of operational and market Risk
  • Management plans/Activity plans in line with the overall bank strategy.
  • Train, motivate and manage performance of the operational and market Risk
  • Management team to enhance staff productivity thoroughly daily supervision of the team’s activities, feedback and provision of leadership in line with the HCM policies
  • Act as the custodian for all bank policies (internal and external policies including regulatory and HCM policies) by developing and implementing mechanisms for updating, accessing and adhering (Including Trainings/sensitizations and communication) to internal, external and regulatory policies by all staff
  • Collaborate with other Unit/departments Heads to develop and coordinate the implementation of Business Continuity plans across the Bank
  • Develop and Implement structures/frameworks for population of losses/loss events and risk – based grading of Branches and SBUs which shall inform the deployment of resources, frequency of audit visits, and deployment of internal control personnel and determination of manning levels.

 JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Plan, coordinate and assess operational and market risk management activities in the bank to ensure that the Bank achieves its objectives of meeting Basel II requirements for internationally active banks.
  • Develop and monitor the Implementation of structures for the establishment of risk appetite for the bank by setting of risk tolerance limits and key risk indicators in line the Policies
  • Develop and monitor implementation of processes for the validation of processes mapped including risk identification, severity assessment, frequency of occurrence and controls documented.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • % age implementation of operational and Market Risk plans
  • Staff productivity and engagement score/index including attrition rate
  • 100% up-to-date, accessible and adhered to bank wide policies
  • Acceptable Risk Management Audit score for internal, External and Regulatory Active and functional BCP plans
  • Monthly /Timely reporting losses to management of presentation of Risk Learning points to EXCO
  • Quarterly control and risk self assessment questions in products, processes, systems and activities in the entire Bank
  • Quarterly presentation of Keys Risk Indicators (KRIs) reports for various products, processes, activities, systems, policies and external events to stakeholders
  • Risk identification and control in new products, services and processes before such are deployed Bank-wide within 48 hours after receipt from the product owners
  • Quarterly risk and control-based procedure, validations and manuals for the mapped processes
  • Timeliness at preparing Quarterly Board Report
  • Monthly EXCO Risk Management Status Reports.
  • Acceptable Risk Management Audit score
  • 100% bank compliance to risk regulatory laws/standards

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Minimum education level: First degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Banking & Finance or related discipline
  • Postgraduate degree/MBA and/or Professional qualification in accounting e.g. CPA,ACA, ACCA desirable
