Job Description

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) was established by an Act of Parliament, Chapter 469 of the laws of Kenya , which became effective on 1st July 1995 . The Authority is charged with the responsibility of collecting revenue on behalf of the Government of Kenya. A Board of Directors, consisting of both public and private sector experts, makes policy decisions to be implemented by KRA Management. The Chairman of the Board is appointed by the President of the Republic of Kenya . The Chief Executive of the Authority is the Commissioner General who is appointed by the Minister for Finance. PURPOSE OF KRA Assessment , Collection, Administration and Enforcement of laws relating to revenue.

Purpose of the job

Implementation of knowledge retention and transfer to support revenue administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the corporate knowledge management strategy and policy.
  • Carry out measures to promote knowledge sharing culture in the department(s).
  • Support the creation, collection and publishing of knowledge resources.
  • Conduct capacity building on knowledge management for the appointed subject matter experts.
  • Implementation of Performance, Audit, Integrity, QMS and Risk programmes.

Requirements

Academic qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Knowledge Management, Information Science, Communication or related field

Professional qualification:

  • Membership to a professional body in management or knowledge management is an added advantage

Work experience

  • Minimum three (3) years’ relevant experience.

  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Attention to details and ability to work under minimum supervision.
  • Proactivity and strong interpersonal skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
