Job Description

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Kenya is an independent prosecutorial authority established by Article 157 of the constitution of Kenya.The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is the National Prosecuting Authority in Kenya which has been mandated by the Constitution to prosecute all criminal cases in the country.

Requirement for Appointment  

Qualifications : Bachelors Degree

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Business Administration (Supplies Chain Option), Commerce, Accounts, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Procurement and Supplies Management, Law or any other relevant field from a recognized institution;
  • Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results; and iii. Be a member of Kenya Institute of Supply Chain Management and have a practicing license.

 Duties & Responsibilities

An officer at this level will be responsible to the Senior Supply Chain Management Officer II for assigned Supply Chain Management function. Specifically, duties and responsibilities will include: 1. Implementing strategies, policies, guidelines, procedures and manuals that safeguard integrity of the procurement processes of the Office;

  • Providing secretariat services to opening, evaluation, inspection and acceptance, negotiation and disposal Committees in all procurement proceedings for ODPP’s value for money as required by the PPADA, 2015 and PPADR, 2020 and other directives;
  • Collecting, collating and analyzing of data from the internal and external stakeholders and make appropriate recommendations thereof;
  • Receiving and taking charge of inventory, stores and assets;
  • Receiving the approved stores requisition, issue stores based on first in first out (FIFO);
  • Updating procurement records accordingly;
  • Carrying out stock checking, stock verification and undertaking quarterly/annual inventory stock taking and reconciliation exercise;
  • Monitoring the movement of stores; 9. Preparing requisitions for stock replenishment;
  • Safeguarding all the goods in the stores; and
  • Reporting promptly to the Head of Procurement any break-in of the stores, leakages, theft, breakages of items, or any matter that may damage or lead to loss of the items.
