Job Summary:

We are seeking to  recruit an experienced Sustainability and External Relations Advisor, the ideal candidate will  play a key role in advancing the organizations commitment to sustainability and maintaining positive relationships with external stakeholders. He or she will work closely with various departments to ensure that the companies project aligns with the organizations Standards and Procedures, relevant International and local regulations while effectively engaging with communities, governmental bodies and NGOs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of sustainability strategies and initiatives in accordance with the organizations procedures and guidelines.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with local communities, government agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and address concerns.
  • Collaborating with local communities to identify and support development opportunities aligned with the organizations sustainability goals.
  • Preparing comprehensive annual sustainability reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing strategic advice on sustainability opportunities and risks and gaining support for the organizations sustainability goals across the organization.
  • Planning sustainability-related events and preparing key messages, speeches, and briefings for various audiences.
  • Supporting internal and external communications to enhance the visibility of the organizations initiatives.
  • Organizing and implementing capacity-building sessions for community stakeholders related to the organizations sustainability initiatives.
  • Conducting regular monitoring and evaluation visits to assess the implementation status of the organizations projects and providing recommendations as necessary.
  • Supporting other company initiatives contributing to social relations as requested.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or a related discipline.
  • Must have at least 2 years and above  of proven experience in stakeholder management, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills, with fluent written and verbal English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365.
