Sustainable Infrastructure and Energy Systems Consultant

We are seeking a Sustainable Infrastructure and Energy Systems Consultant to provide professional expertise and technical leadership across assignments related to the analysis, optimization, and management of energy and environmental performance in the built environment. The scope of work may include, but is not limited to:

  • Analysis and optimization of building and infrastructure energy performance.
  • Application of analytical, modeling, and simulation approaches to support design and operational decision-making.
  • Assessment of thermal comfort, HVAC systems, lighting, and electrical systems.
  • Development and evaluation of energy efficiency and demand-side management strategies.
  • Integration of renewable and low-carbon energy solutions within buildings and infrastructure systems.
  • Advisory support on sustainability frameworks, energy codes, and green building standards.
  • Technical reporting, knowledge products, and presentation of findings to professional and institutional audiences.
  • Delivery of professional training, workshops, and capacity-building interventions as required.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Provide high-quality technical and advisory inputs aligned to agreed Terms of Reference.
  • Develop professional content, tools, and materials suited to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Facilitate technical sessions, workshops, and applied learning engagements.
  • Produce clear, well-structured technical reports and recommendations
  • Support institutional capacity strengthening and knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced academic qualification (Master’s degree or higher) in Engineering, Architecture, Energy Systems, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications in energy, sustainability, or building performance will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive professional experience in energy systems, sustainable buildings, infrastructure performance, or related advisory work.
  • Demonstrated experience applying analytical, modeling, or assessment tools within professional assignments.
  • Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and with diverse stakeholders.
  • Prior experience delivering consultancy services, professional training, or advisory support.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and technical writing skills.
