Woodcreek School is a British IGCSE system institution, situated on an 11-acre campus along Kamiti road adjacent to Tatu City, in Kiambu county. Position Summary

Woodcreek School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Teacher of Music to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality music education to students across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, fostering creativity, musical appreciation, and technical proficiency

Key Responsibilities for this Position:

  •  Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated music lessons to students in line with the British National Curriculum and examination board requirements.
  •  Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages students’ musical exploration and development.
  •  Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to inspire a love for music and nurture students’  individual musical talents.
  •  Organize and lead instrumental and vocal ensembles, fostering teamwork and musical collaboration among students.
  •  Assess and track students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and support to aid their musical development.
  •  Coordinate and participate in extracurricular music activities, such as concerts, recitals, and workshops.
  •  Collaborate with colleagues across departments to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects and  initiatives.
  •  Stay updated with develop

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music or a related field. A teaching qualification is advantageous.
  •  Proven experience teaching music across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, with a strong understanding of the
  •  British National Curriculum and assessment requirements.
  •  Proficiency in playing and teaching a range of musical instruments and styles.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues.
  •  Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a positive learning environment.
  •  Dedication to continuous professional development and a commitment to enhancing the school’s music program.
  •  Experience in organizing musical events and extracurricular activities is desirable
