About the Role

• The Tech Lead will be responsible for leading a team of software developers and engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of technology solutions for our company.
• They will lead the technical strategy, set and manage the project deliverables and timelines, mentor and develop the team, manage budgets and resources, and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.

Responsibilities

Strategy

• Define the technical strategy and direction of the team.
• Ensure alignment with the company’s overall strategy.

Execution

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of technology solutions related to our products.
• Participate in the architecture, design and code review.
• Participate in the development of the product roadmap, and the design and implementation of new features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects and sprints are delivered on time.
• Work closely with stakeholders, including business leaders and other teams, to understand and meet the needs of the company and our customers.
• Drive innovation and take a hands-on role in the development and maintenance of technology solutions.
• Be flexible and adaptable, able to pivot quickly and take on new responsibilities as the company’s needs evolve.

Hiring & Mentoring

• Lead the hiring process for new team members.
• Mentor and develop team members.
• Foster a culture of learning and growth that is centered around our company culture.

Other responsibilities

• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
• Provide progress reports to the Head of Engineering.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and/or Typescript/Javascript, with very good knowledge of Django and/or React (Typescript/Javascript).
• Proficiency in SQL
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software development and engineering.
• 3+ years of experience leading teams.
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Experience in Financial Technology (Fintech) is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Passion for technology and drive for innovation.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
