Technical Sales Executive

Responsibilities.

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand the customer base.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the company’s technical products or services, as well as a strong understanding of industry trends and competitor offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Understand their technical challenges and provide solutions that align with the company’s offerings.
  • Identify and prospect potential customers through various channels, including cold calls targeted visits, networking events, trade shows, and online research.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations that showcase the technical benefits of the company’s products or services to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with product updates, features, and improvements, and effectively communicate these to customers.
  • Prepare accurate quotes and pricing proposals based on customer requirements and company pricing guidelines.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers while ensuring the company’s interests are protected.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including sales calls, customer interactions, and revenue projections.
  • Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to provide insights and recommendations for product development and sales strategy adjustments.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., engineering, computer science) or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience in technical sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Skills

  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Industry-specific certifications or training
