Job Description

The core business of Africa Fleet Management Solutions Ltd (AFMS) is to provide Fleet Management solutions which are client oriented and that result in cost savings and increase in operational efficiencies.Over the years, we have created a customizable solution that is modular and yet fully integrated and that will interface with all accounting systems to complete a seamless fleet management solution to meet all customer needs and requirements. Technician

Role Overview

  • Install, calibrate, and support GPS trackers, fuel sensors, and speed limiters across customer vehicles and commercial fleets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installations: Fit and wire GPS tracking units, fuel monitoring sensors, speed limiters, and driver ID hardware.
  • Calibration & Compliance: Calibrate fuel sensors and configure speed governors to meet NTSA standards.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot hardware faults, fix vehicle wiring issues, and handle field support calls.
  • Testing & Quality: Verify live GPS signals, relay cut-offs, and sensor accuracy; ensure clean, concealed wiring.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in GPS tracker, fuel sensor, and speed limiter installation.
  • Strong knowledge of 12V/24V automotive electrics, relays, and CAN bus systems.
  • Certificate/Diploma in Electrical, Automotive, or Telecommunications Engineering.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to perform field travel.
