Responsibilities

As a Technology Software Senior Sales Manager in Oracle, you will play a pivotal role in representing and guiding our commercial sales team in Kenya. Your responsibilities encompass managing sales operations for our comprehensive Oracle Technology Solutions suite, which includes infrastructure, database, middleware, BI, and big data license sales opportunities.

  • Drive the commercial sales team to sell our complete technology solutions portfolio.
  • Lead a team covering various solutions, including databases, data management, cybersecurity, middleware, and digital solutions.
  • Maximize the potential of customers’ IT organizations, especially those with growing data volumes and high service-level expectations.
  • Manage sales operations for Oracle Technology Solutions.
  • Develop business strategies and sales plans for Kenya’s various Commercial Industry sectors.
  • Execute enterprise sales industry value propositions.
  • Manage and lead a team of senior Sales Executives, achieving revenue targets and driving cloud transformation within the commercial sector.
  • Collaborate with multiple Lines of Businesses, including Applications, Systems Sales Teams, Alliances & Channels, and Services teams.
  • Contribute as a member of the Kenya Leadership Team.

Requirements

Desired Experience

  • Demonstrated success in consistently achieving annual and quarterly revenue targets.
  • In-depth understanding of Kenya’s commercial sector, along with a profound grasp of Oracle’s tech license value propositions.
  • Proven track record in building and nurturing a robust sales pipeline, with a focus on maturing and qualifying opportunities.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining integrity and exhibiting exemplary leadership qualities.
  • Prior experience in monitoring customer transactions and ensuring strict adherence to established business processes.
  • Proficiency in effectively utilizing planning and reporting tools.
  • A history of fostering customer satisfaction, adeptly addressing issues, and establishing robust relationships with key executives.
  • Proven ability to provide clear direction, inspiring leadership, and motivation to the sales team.
  • Experience setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and taking corrective actions to ensure team members meet targets.
  • Demonstrated skill in monitoring and reviewing sales plans for continuous improvement.
