Job Description

Job Purpose

Responsible for supporting and assisting the Head of Balance Sheet & Capital Management in reporting, liquidity management, hedging and managing balance sheet and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and support the Group’s Balance sheet, Capital strategy, and Analytics.
  • Monitoring solvency to assist with rigorous and efficient capital management.
  • Assist in delivering analysis and reporting on the balance sheet and capital-related matters; analysis and forecasts of capital and solvency/sufficiency, balance sheet performance monitoring (yields and attribution) and projections, Capital returns and shareholder values added, return on equity.
  • Support the month-end close process for assigned business units including the collation, preparation, and reporting on the balance sheet activities on a monthly basis
  • Preparing and presenting regular treasury reports, budgets, financial documents, and strategies to management.
  • Assist in the preparation of Board and ALCO reports within the unit.
  • Support in the internal valuation of entities and Group and investee entities for reporting.
  • Undertake Group review, reporting and strategy on Balance Sheet risks Liquidity, Credit, FX and market risks.
  • Implementing financial policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Experience And Qualifications Required And Essential

Competencies

  • A Business oriented degree from a recognized university.
  • Professional qualification or pursuing Professional Qualification in CPA, CFA and or CISA.
  • Team player with ability to establish understanding and create rapport with various internal and external customers.
  • Excellent computer knowledge and thorough understanding of application of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Working knowledge in Online payment systems and in ERP systems and Investment Management Systems – Moneyware.

Performance Standards

  • Absence of errors and or delays in Investment transaction processing.
  • Efficient cash and liquidity management.
  • Meeting of all key set deadlines within and without the department while displaying the ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent level of customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Compliance with our policies and Procedures Manuals.
