Mount Kenya University (MKU) is a fully fledged chartered university committed to a broad-based, wholistic and inclusive system of education. It has an overall goal of promoting human resource development for society’s progressive good. The university has adopted several international best practices in its core functions, which has enabled its students and faculty win awards, thus stamping its authority as a centre of excellence. Qualification

Education, Skills and Experience

 Must have:

• Master’s degree qualification from a recognized/accredited university in the relevant field;

OR

• Bachelor’s degree (for special cases outlined on MKU teaching staff appointments and promotions guidelines, 2020);
• Be registered/ registerable for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification;
• Registered with relevant professional body where applicable.
• Appointment shall be on two (2) years contract, renewable upon demonstration of progress in PhD studies.

Reporting to: Dean, Clinical Medicine.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Adherence to the teaching requirements as per the curriculum.
• Administration of Continuous Assessments Tests.
• Examination Setting, Administration & Marking
