Job Purpose:
We are seeking Warehouse Supervisor to be based at our Athi River location. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising daily warehouse operations. He or she will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, distribution of equipment and supplies, as well as inventory maintenance. Additionally, they will train and evaluate warehouse staff, schedule deliveries, maintain records, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate must have at least a diploma, 3 years or more experience in warehouse management, and proficiency in English and Swahili.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise daily warehouse operations.
  • Train, evaluate, and assign tasks to warehouse employees.
  • Receive, unpack, pack, load, and deliver materials and supplies.
  • Schedule, prepare, and oversee orders for delivery and pick-ups.
  • Process requisitions and requests, and maintain inventory.
  • Operate a computer and specialized warehouse equipment.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse.
  • Assist in establishing warehouse standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team, suppliers, and transportation contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Diploma or higher in supply chain/procurement/Logistics
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is required
  • Must be proficient in SAP.
  • Knowledge of warehousing and stock control methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in forklift operation and other warehouse equipment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and record-keeping.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Capacity to lift, move, sort, and store objects.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-oriented with a positive attitude and energy.
  • Flexibility and lateral thinking for adapting to changing situations.
