Warehouse Technician – KVM

JOB PURPOSE 

  • The incumbent will ensure efficient management of the warehouse by maintaining correct & optimum stock to ensure high level of customer satisfaction and exceptional service delivery and contribute towards achievement of Business budget turnover.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB 
Operational Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate Picking of consumables from the bins as per requisitions raised.
  • Receive materials into the warehouse when delivered from the suppliers.
  • Unbox the received materials to sort them according to specifications/features, and to check quantities and quality.
  • Bin all received materials in line with the warehouse guidelines for ease in accessibility and minimized denials.
  • Conducting continuous perpetuals according to the mapping submitted by the supervisor and reporting on weekly basis with each line with variance explained.
  • Record all returned consumables to facilitate raising credit notes.
  • Check system stocks against the physical stocks to identify variances and report to the Procurement Manager.
  • Communicate all the damages and any difference in numbers of the consumables received in the warehouse.
  • Record information on goods issued to production in line with the warehouse procedure, and file warehouse documentation to ensure availability of information when required.
  • Arrange goods in line with the set standards to enhance warehouse safety and efficiency in warehouse operations.
  • Arranging and participating in the wall -wall stock counts to ensure achievement of <1% warehouse stock variance
  • Collaborate and communicate with teams to ensure On Time deliveries of product.
  • Ensuring that the warehouse is in excellent condition regarding cleanliness, safety, and equipment condition to minimize production downtime and support Lean Manufacturing Initiatives
  • Seeking opportunities to drive improvement on projects and lean processes.
  • Able to complete other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Apply sound problem-solving skills to achieve high quality standards for internal customers in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum level of academic and professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role
  • A degree or diploma in a Technical field or Business-related field
  •  Working knowledge of Syspro
  • Minimum level of experience required to perform effectively in the role
  • 2+ years’ experience in a warehouse preferably within the automotive
