Job Description

With an unrivalled network of 100 locations countrywide comprising of branches, depots and collection points, we continue to expand our network in an effort to bring Fargo closer to our customers. Part of our strategic vision is to ensure that Fargo Courier is accessible to everyone in Kenya.

Job Purpose

The incumbent will ensure that Cash in Transit teams are dispatched and received back in a timely manner, with adherence to SOPS

Job Responsibilities

  • Inform staff of the routes they have been allocated as per shuffler and route planner
  • Liaise with AP noncommissioned officers on site to allocate Aps to routes
  • Conduct meetings with AP noncommissioned officers to raise any issue of late arrival of Aps or issues with individual officers
  • Ensure Road Crew proceed out on routes in a timely manner
  • Ensure Crew Commanders are responsible for having their allocated drivers and Aps ready for departure
  • Ensure all lead cars and chase cars depart together with Aps as per the route planner and shuffler pairing Manage leave for staff and ensure that leave periods do not affect business operations
  • Manage staff attendance including (Staff absenteeism, lateness, logging trends)
  • Ensure drivers complete daily van checks and mechanical issues are reported to fleet in charge
  • Complete checks of lead vans before exiting the yard to ensure all consignments are in the van vault.

Minimum Requirements, Skills, Experience and Attributes

  • Diploma in Business or other related courses
  • At least 5 years’ experience in fleet management of cash in transit vehicles
  • Supervisory experience is desirable
  • Background in police/ military training is an added advantage
  • Proficient in email use, Ms excel, and Ms word
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Valid driving licence
  • Ability to manage conflicts from staff and customers
  • Proactive demeanor and flexible to take on additional work trips as required
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and team skills
