Job Description

Living Water International exists to demonstrate the love of God by helping communities acquire desperately needed clean water, and to experience “living water”-the gospel of Jesus Christ-which alone satisfies the deepest thirst

Key Responsibilities

Grant Acquisition and Fundraising Support:

  • Identify funding opportunities and donors, and assist in fundraising strategies for water, sanitation, and hygiene programs.
  • Collaborate on grant proposals and fundraising materials, and conduct research on grant opportunities and donor priorities.

Grant Application and Management:

  • Aid in preparing grant applications, maintaining organized grant-related information, and coordinating with program staff to gather data.
  • Monitor grant project progress and assist in preparing comprehensive grant reports for donors.
  • Help track donor engagement and interactions in the donor management system.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure adherence to grant-related policies, procedures, and reporting guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of grant-related documents, contracts, and agreements.

Communications and Donor Relations:

  • Narrative Report Developer and Coordinator: Responsible for crafting creative narratives and project reports for various stakeholders, collaborating with communication teams to enhance reporting strategies, and ensuring adherence to organizational voice and writing standards.
  • Communication Material Developer and Support: Involved in writing and editing various marketing and communication content, including articles, reports, newsletters, and impact stories.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as communications, nonprofit management, or a related area.
  • Previous two (2) years’ experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive narratives and proposals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and donor management software.
  • Knowledge of grant application processes and reporting requirements is a plus.
  • Passion for international development and a commitment to the mission and values of Living Water International.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with donors, colleagues, and partners.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing needs and priorities.
