Job Description

Kenya Commercial Bank Limited is registered as a non-operating holding company which started operations as a licensed banking institution with effect from January 1, 2016. The holding company oversees KCB Kenya – incorporated with effect from January 1, 2016 – and all KCB’s regional units in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia and South Sudan.

RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Responsible for end-to-end execution of KCBF programmes and projects from startup to close out in compliance with Programme agreements and contracts and in line with Bank’s policies, Bank procedures, project management standards and other regulatory and legislative requirements as may apply.
  • Provide leadership for the design of strategic frameworks and plans (e.g. annual plans) for KCBF.
  • Ensure timely and compliant implementation of programmes.
  • Ensure appropriate and accurate documentation by Programmes teams and relevant departments of all Programme activities and actions in the Bank’s management information systems.
  • Work with the Bank’s Retail Function to support growth of the MSME portfolio through appropriate KCBF programmes.
  • Coordinate with Senior Finance Manager and Programme Managers to ensure appropriate Programme budgeting and budget monitoring, efficient use and stewardship of project materials and finances.
  • Backstop programmes’ procurement planning and requisition of goods and services, in compliance with Bank’s and regulatory guidelines on procurement.
  • Lead in periodic (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and ad hoc) programme reviews in collaboration with the Finance and Monitoring and Evaluation departments.
  • Responsible for overall programme staff and stakeholders learning and capacity development.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Director through bilateral meetings, and KCBF’s Management Team meetings on programmes’ progress against goals, and related challenges and opportunities facing the programmes.
  • Effectively manage the team working under him/her and provide coaching and mentoring for Project Managers and be overall responsible for the team’s performance management, talent development and other employee issues in collaboration with the Human Resources department.

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Academic & Professional

Education    

  •  Bachelor’s Degree    Any relevant area    RQ
  • Professional Qualifications    Project Management, M&E or any relevant area
  • Masters Degree    Business Administration (MBA)/Strategic Management/Related Field
