About the Role

BFA Global is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and highly motivated Program Manager to support climate-related and other projects and programs within BFA Global. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of proactivity and initiative that will drive program success.  The Program Manager will play a crucial role in planning, implementing, and managing initiatives aimed at accelerating climate action, financial inclusion, livelihood strategies, and other sustainability efforts. This position requires a solid background in project management, an understanding of sustainability challenges, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. This position will report to the Program Director.

What you will do

Program Planning and Implementation:

  • Develop the work plans and budgets in consultation with the Program Director and in line with the project objectives.
  • Proactively identify and address potential challenges to ensure the smooth execution of programs

Project Management:

  • Oversee the execution of climate-related and other projects from initiation to completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of project activities

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including governmental agencies, NGOs, businesses, and community organizations.

Research and Analysis:

  • Stay informed about the latest developments in climate innovation and wider innovation.
  • Conduct research to inform program strategies and identify innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals and pitches for new business opportunities

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Support the establishment and implementation of a robust monitoring and evaluation framework for project initiatives
  • Track and measure identified key performance indicators and success metrics to measure the impact of the program
  • Timely track and report on program outcomes and impact

Additional tasks will depend on project requirements determined by our client-driven work.

Qualifications & requirements

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in environmental science, sustainability, project management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in project management, including budget management, timeline adherence, and reporting
  • Agility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and exceed expectations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in a venture studio/ venture building environment will be an advantage
  • Familiarity with climate-related policies, innovation technologies, and global sustainability initiatives is a plus
  • Fluent English is required, and spoken French will be an added advantage
